I'm guessing it's partly because of intensifying Western media propaganda, but also how easily the US has been able to coerce its vassals to give up their resources, technologies and market shares. Not helped by China's unresponsiveness to US economic attacks.

A median of 41% of people across 23 countries believe the U.S. to be the world’s top economic power, compared to 33% who named China.

  • The share of people who rate the U.S. as the world's leading economy has increased markedly among U.S. allies like Germany, Japan and France since 2020.
  • Increases favoring the U.S. were also observed in countries like Hungary, Poland and Indonesia since 2019, the last time the question was asked in those countries.
  • The portion of people who believe the U.S. to be the dominant economy has dropped in India and Greece since 2019.
Noticed this change isn't reflected in BRICS nations, though.

In Germany, 17% of survey respondents in 2020 said they saw the U.S. as the world's leading economic power, compared to 34% who said so in 2023, according to

.

  • Germany saw a corresponding drop in the portion of people who felt China was the dominant economy, from 55% in 2020 to 43% in 2023.
  • In Japan, the portion of people who felt the U.S. was the dominant economy increased from 53% in 2020 to 64% in 2023, while the portion who felt China was dominant fell from 31% to 22% over the same years.
  • In Indonesia, 21% of respondents in 2019 believed the U.S. to be the top economy while 24% believed it to be China. By 2023 the gap had reversed and widened, with 35% believing the U.S. to be dominant while only 16% said China.
Argentina is the only nation where a majority of respondents believe American investment has not been good for their country.

since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, gives the U.S. its highest rating: 93% of Poles express a favorable opinion. Biden gets his highest marks in Poland, where 83% voice confidence in his leadership of world affairs.
The U.S. gets its lowest marks in another central European country: Hungary, where just 44% of adults offer a positive view, down from 55% in 2022.1687927685859.png

I sexually identify as a DF-21.
If you want to piss off one of "those people", when asked, you shoud tell them that your pronouns are "God, God". Should make things super awkward when they're talking to their weird friends.

"-Who did you come here with?
-Oh, I came with God.
-With God? Are you religious or something?
-No, I really came with God. Look, just ask God.
-I think we have to rescind your LGBT credentials. You're a disgrace to our movement.
-Seriously, I talked to God. I swear God is among us!"...

This means that PLA has to violate it to prevent the perception that Taiwan is sovereign. First with recon drones, then armed drones, then fighters. Keep escalating and dare them to shoot.

How can the PLA violate something that isn’t there? And no, it should not start by sending drones within 12nm of its renegade province, but a massive manned fighter and bomber combined force, all loaded for bear with clear and aggressive rules of engagement, which should be publicly announced well beforehand. So something along the lines of, anything locks on and it’s fires free.

Sending unmanned drones is all but begging the RoC to shoot first thinking the risks and costs of doing so would be acceptably low. And if they actually summon up the balls to shoot down the drone, China will then need to respond accordingly aggressively but there isn’t much of the sausage left to Salami slice at that point.

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Two legislators confirmed on Monday (June 26) that the U.S. has provided Taiwan with a JUMP 20 drone and offered training on how to operate the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

The JUMP 20 is a fixed-wing, vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) drone designed for multi-sensor intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions, according to its designer AeroVironment. It has a flight endurance of over 14 hours, a maximum flight speed of 92 km/h, and an operational range of 185 km.

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Mike Rogers, chair of the U.S. House Armed Services Committee on Tuesday (June 27) arrived in Taiwan in what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) described as "one of the largest U.S. congressional delegations" to visit the country in many years.

An anti-corruption presidential candidate, whose surprise showing in Guatemala's first-round election on Sunday launched him into a runoff vote later this summer, said on Tuesday he would pursue closer relations with China if he wins the presidency.

"We need to work on our trade relations and expand them in the case of China," said Bernardo Arevalo in an interview with local radio program Con Criterio. The candidate finished second in the field behind Sandra Torres, a pro-Taiwan candidate.

Guatemala is Central America's most populous country. A "defection" by Guatemala would complete China's recognition by the Northern Triangle region and leave tiny Belize as Taiwan's last Central American ally.
