and yet the Vietnamese gov are so pathetic, they allowed the US carrier Ronald Reagan to dock in port. All that bellyaching over China and yet they kowtow to caucasoids. It's like Ho chi Minh and his people died for nothing.

On another note, i do think it is remarkable how China places such an emphasis on farming given how significant it is to Chinese culture and history, and how the core of every army is comprised of salt of the earth, farmer-soldier types and how the CPC retains a strong bond with farmers and workers as well as scientists as its core.

Bottom line, the past few decades China was able to rise on all fronts, and development of it external relations were all based on the win-win and offering better deals.
These Western political circles do not even realize that they spent the past few decades doing exactly what they are saying they are going to do in the future. It still has not registered in their minds that it will not work. Others have moved on.
