The US has 9 CSGs, losing 2 carriers won't spell the end of it.
China had thousand of missile and also of the 9CSGs how many are deployable in the Pacific region?
Once the US is backed into a corner, do you think they would react rationally considering the internal political pressure. That's the dangerous bit hard to predict and plan for.
So are the Chinese and the Russian, 2 can play the game. Like I said the US are desperately trying to hold on its empire together, like the Romans before them a defeat led to an internal collapse which started the dark age.

The American plan is for her vassals to hold the fort while they rearmed and redeployed, BUT their is a problem, aside from logistic, near peer technology and resources, their opponent is a continental size nation capable of sustaining damage and will fight back bitterly to the end. Unlike that of Nazi Germany and Japan in WW2, The American elite school should change their curriculum to focus more on Geography and History. Their political elites lack the understanding on this subject...lol

Typical deployment is 3 CBGs globally (25% deployment). 6 is their short term surge capability which was seen during Desert Storm.

Note that in 1991 their navy was much larger with 16x CBGs total: 9x conventional (1x MDWY, 4x FRSTL, 4x KT HWK), 7x CVN (1x ENT , 6x NMTZ ).

This is the best scenario for China and the world. Once the US is economically broken and spent, her military will crumble without the PLA firing a single shoot.

I would imagine if the US decides to get involved, it will get more than 3 CSGs ready for deployment. It would be foolish for the US to start a hot war with China without 6 or more CSGs in combat ready status.
