$0.34 per minute ($20.40 per hour) + $1.45 per mile? Devils advocate but no way are they going to stay in the state being forced to pay double the minimum wage in Minnesota.
I didn’t look at anything in detail, but you can’t really base it on “minimum wage” since you are also depreciating the car.

More importantly it’s the governor that overrode the electorate (if we look at it on the surface level)

Musk’s brain implant firm gets approval for human trials

Neuralink, Elon Musk’s brain implant company which hopes to use its technology to treat conditions such as paralysis and blindness, has been cleared to conduct human trials after it received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the firm announced on Thursday.

“We are excited to share that we have received the FDA’s approval to launch our first in-human clinical study,” Neuralink said in a post on Twitter. Musk had predicted on several prior occasions that the technology would be cleared for testing, but a previous application in early 2022 was denied by the FDA, scientists who worked on the project told Reuters in March.

The approval is “an important first step that will one day allow our technology to help many people,” the company said, and is “the result of incredible work by the Neuralink team in close collaboration with the FDA.”

Musk has previously stated that his ambition is for Neuralink to “restore full body functionality to someone who has a severed spinal cord.”

Neuralink says it does not yet have plans to begin recruiting participants, while the FDA has not formally commented on its decision to approve the technology for human testing. Last year, Musk said he was so confident in the device’s safety that he would be willing to implant the chip into the brains of his own children.

Prototypes of the Neuralink implant, which are the size of an average coin, have so far been implanted into the skulls of monkeys, the company showed in demonstrations. The implant registers nerve activity and relays the information to an exterior device such as a smartphone with the use of a bluetooth connection.

In addition to helping to treat issues of mobility or vision-impairment, Musk says Neuralink could also benefit people with depression, schizophrenia and autism – and even act as a utility for web browsing and telepathic communication between subjects.

Neuralink came under fire late last year amid complaints of alleged animal welfare violations. A report by Reuters in December said that around 1,500 animals, including monkeys, sheep and pigs, had been killed during its initial phases of testing.
In addition to helping to treat issues of mobility or vision-impairment, Musk says Neuralink could also benefit people with depression, schizophrenia and autism – and even act as a utility for web browsing and telepathic communication between subjects.

One step closer for Tesla ads every 10 mins 24/7 that is unavoidable.

Just look at US chat AIs. After interacting with Americans, they all turn into alt-right incels that want to see the world burn. That shows you how ingrained that mentality is on society. If it were China, the West would whole-heartedly used this for anti-China propaganda which they will because they assume everything China does is worse than them hence why they want to stop Chinese AI and force the Chinese to use theirs. But China... crickets. Why? Because of the taking-the-high-road crowd? Or the Chinese aren't skilled at retort? I imagine it's both. That's what I hate about the Chinese. They think they're taking the high road but all that does is say the other side is taking the low road which is an insult especially when they're looking to get respect from the other side.

Just look at these Hong Kongers we're talking about. All I see is venom spitting out of their mouths when they talk and I bet they don't even understand what they're saying. It's just them seeing sides and they stick to their side no matter what. Do they see themselves violating the very democratic principles they're suppose to be defending. No, they just see their side being the good guys and they can employ any tactic they want because of it even violence because they don't like someone else's political position.

The truth is the most powerful propaganda and you see so much of it can be used against the West but does China exploit it? Nope. Just look at the reaction on video posted in here of showing the West as hypocrites on the illegal war in Iraq or how angry the US is on China banning Micron. Or how about Blinken in Alaska? The West can't take it that they leave or move on to the next subject. That's the small stuff. Why so sensitive? It's because no one ever counters the West's hypocrisy and they've gotten arrogant that they don't have to think twice before they open their mouths. In Western culture when you accuse them of something they think is wrong, they confront it. In turn when a Westerner sees someone not confront a lie, they think it's because the accusation is true because why wouldn't you if it's not?

Why don't Chinese/Asians use it against them? I have to say it's because it's counter-intuitive to them to make people that you want to have respect from get angry at you. And I'll blame it on the Asian culture of respecting authority no matter what. What I'm talking about is Asians will give authority to people who don't earn or deserve it. They'll say someone just because they're older is in a position of authority. You can be older but it doesn't stop you from being a jerk. Look at that incident on a Korean airliner where the junior pilot did not question an action by the senior pilot and the plane crashed as a result. Yes, the West is the power of the world and to Asians that has to be respected to a fault. That's why you have people like in Hong Kong or Taiwan that side with the US when they will never be treated as an equal because they aren't white. When you look at anti-Asian violence in the West, they're attacking other ethnicities than Chinese also fully knowing they're not Chinese. Oh yes because Asians gravitate to being sycophants and teacher's pets, they accept it as long as they're treated better than everyone else.

I'll bring up the Marine I've talked about before in here. He's the stereotypical Republican military guy you think of. I recently saw him talking to another Republican and he was talking about how he loves to push Democrats' buttons and I've see this in action from the first time I met him. I never engaged with him on politics before but then one day he was looking at me for a moment and then he said something about Chinese like what he says he loves doing to Democrats and liberals. A green light went off in my head and I went into attack mode. See this is where Republicans are hypocrites when they say they hate political correctness when they're the ones who invented it. The Republican criticism of political correctness is not talking about the truth because it's too sensitive for some to hear it. The Republicans have been doing this forever because they don't anything bad said about the US especially when it comes to the truth. Look at their attack on critical race theory. What is critical race theory? It's discussing the truth of what happened in US history. And they're against it because it's too sensitive for some white people to hear and it might make white young people feel guilty where they won't take certain actions in the world. Do you ever hear Republicans say they're lies? No, it's because they know it's the truth and they want to hide it. And remember Republicans are angry at the Chinese government because they believe Beijing is not telling the truth to the Chinese people about their history and if they were told it, the Chinese would uprise and be pro-US.

Back to the Marine... It took a while pounding him with the truth but now he doesn't talk about China when he's around me anymore because he knows he'll get burned. He's learned to think twice because I know how to navigate debate. Some Asians would say I failed because I didn't turn this person into liking Chinese. That wasn't my goal because I don't care if this guy hates me. It's the same in geopolitics. If you do nothing the West will try to take advantage of you. People have posted in this forum how there's an 80%-85% unfavourability in the West towards China. It wouldn't be that high if China actually countered instead of thinking doing nothing is what's best.

The point of communication between rivals isn't to convince them of anything because it is impossible. It is to 1. Warn them of red lines and 2. Make them look stupid or unhinged in front of neutral 3rd parties.

Are there still appeasers in Zhongnanhai who advocate a total hands off approach towards the war in Ukraine and EU-US tensions with Russia/Belarus?

Why are you against the "largest Democracy" in the world? Why are you posting such negative and misinformed news on this particular Indian official who actually did a good thing by providing "Free and democratic" water to the farmers that did not need the water at that time?

Governance, effective governance has been hijacked by the rascals of "propaganda" called "Democracy" not to mention these so-called western values that's been coerced by Western countries led by the U.S. along with Europe to Africa - Gay rights. Splitting the society into arguing about issues that do not improve their actual stations in life so that their "elected leaders" can rob them blindly, obediently, for as long as these politicians sing the right "social justice" creed push forth by their western benefactors.

I told a Filipino worker recently who was raging hard against China being communist = bad/evil and I told him straight up that he's stupid and better shut his trap or I will do the shutting for him. I had to tell him that your country (Philippines) has been a so-called "Democracy" for close to 100 years now, and yet the level of poverty, criminality, corruption, and the gap between their super wealthy and the poor have been increasing not improving, The level of infrastructure in his country is bad, the connectivity of the provincial people to the city center is piss poor; electricity and source of energy is still an ongoing issue and will continue to worsen and more expensive since the governments of past administrations largely ignore that important economic source of growth.. I don't know where and why he has the audacity to slam China and criticize it's government for supposedly being bad when he's never been to the country, doesn't know the history nor the culture. Unaware and largely pretty freaking ignorant on the importance of China in terms of trade and tourism it brings to his home country the Philippines. The fact that China is far wealthier, more modern, safer, than his dumb ...t democratic of a country should tell him how insanely STUPID he is and the rest of his people that believes in that b.s.

I flatly told him, what has your democracy brought you? Please cite them and I will be more than happy to compare China's contributions to the world vs. what his country the PH contributions, achievements etc. under 2 very different systems. His face was blank and empty. I told him, don't ever talk badly about China and defame her like we owe you something. I don't expect him to agree with the points I raise but if you have nothing good to say keep it to yourself. I don't talk trash about the PH, Canada, America, EU because it's highly inappropriate in a professional environment and such opinions create a hostile working environment. The Chinese people he's worked with in the past may have been meek=weak and quite, unbothered by what they hear for reasons only they have the answers to, but I am a different kind of Chinese.
