- According to a recent by the Pew Research Center, about 12% of all restaurants in the United States serve Asian food, which is slightly higher than the 7% Asian American population in the country. Chinese cuisine dominates the Asian restaurant scene, representing 39% of establishments, followed by Japanese and Thai cuisines. Indian and Filipino restaurants have a smaller presence despite the larger share of Indian and Filipino Americans in the Asian population. The analysis also revealed that Asian restaurants are concentrated in a few states, with California, New York and Texas having the highest numbers.

You can't use a military to fight criminals. It's amusing that the US still hasn't learned this basic fact.
They failed against the Taliban and they think they'll succeed against the drug cartels, who are even less of a regular army and whose primary mode of operation is bribery, corruption, and assassination?
Missiles and tanks are worthless against people who operate in the shadows, as civilians. That's what the police is for, and since the US military is not a police force, the result is already obvious.
The Japanese only recognize strength. It is in their DNA. That is why Japanese simp for US despite getting nuked by them twice, but to this day consider Chinese filthy subhumans who should be genocided to extinction. The Japanese government is helmed by the ancestors of IJA high command. Make no mistake, if Japan had the power today, it would absolutely seek to conquer Asia. There is no remorse or regret here, not even a shred of it. The only way to get the Japanese people to respect you is to dominate them, utterly, completely, and without reservation.
Well, US police is also becoming less and less of a police force, and perhaps that's the reason why they have become increasingly useless when it comes to dealing with civil unrest and crime in general in the US.
In any event, a Taiwan incident that brings in the USA and Japan is China's opportunity to show it's strength to Japan. Taking Okinawa and setting up an "independent kingdom of Ryukyu" will be a small payment for the cruelty of Japanese imperialism. As for the home islands, China doesn't need to take them directly, just blockade them until Japan faces the threat of famine. With these actions, the two are even and can resume normal relations, much like Russia and Germany.
The Soviet Union got it's revenge by taking Berlin and splitting Germany in half for 45 years, but China has not gotten it's revenge which hampers normal diplomacy between the two. While China won't proactively go about attacking Japan, one excuse is all that is needed for China to inflict such payback. In fact, I personally suspect that Taiwan is untaken for this reason: China in the future is potentially capable of taking not only Taiwan, but the entire West Pacific. Taiwan is the small fish here, but using it as an excuse to expel the USA out of Asia could fundamentally redefine the world order. And of course, screwing over Japan as punishment for the IJA's atrocities is also on the cards.
One of my friends at the George Floyd protests remarked that the US police didn't really look like police, but rather troops enforcing a military occupation. It should be no surprise that minorities don't trust the police, especially if they look like enemy soldiers parading in a conquered city.
