The best way to shake some sense into these EU trash is to retaliate with a ban on Italian luxury goods. Literally contributes nothing to China and will splinter the EU because italy already hates Germany and France. If that isn’t enough just ban German cars.
While that might be emotionally satisfying, Chinese leaders have consistently proven that they never allow important national decisions to be influenced by emotions.
While it can be frustrating watching from the sidelines as China appears to keep taking hits without hitting back, but behind the scenes, China is constantly making smart, strategic, proactive moves of its own that usually don’t pay off until 15 moves later.
The west has somewhat realised this, but lacking the political capital, unity of purpose and continuity of government and policy, it cannot effectively counter Chinese moves. Thus they resort to such juvenile antics hoping to provoke an emotional reaction from China that distracts it from its own, superior long game. It’s basically the proverbial idiots strategy of dragging you down to their level and winning through experience.
China is wise to ignore these transparent ploys.
