American society is being destroyed one fentanyl shipment at a time

There is a certain irony in all this
The psychology of Anglo society is characterised by heavy narcissism, and transference and victim mentality so they can justify commiting atrocities against others. The very definition of “crybully“.
This is really sad. It's pretty apparent that the US is electioneering this election. The move forward party has skyrocketed in the polls, that's not natural.

China should really try to do something about this. Otherwise all their economic hard work can be wasted. The US can try to make Thailand make policies that hurt themselves and china, while minimal injury to the US. I really hope that move forward party loses.
The problem stems form colonialism; too many people in Asia, India, Africa, LATAM have internalised the racist hierarchy of colonialism where they equate western/anglo america = good. Even in places that got raped hard from the '97 East Asian Financial Crisis, there exists white worship.
thankfully, Chinese soft power is making some headway with Chinese tv shows gaining in popularity in SEA, but this will take time and in the case of the Philippines who are undergone a near half millennium of colonialism, they are going to need a comprehensive overhaul of their entire societal values.
This is as absurd as American politicians trying to ban TikTok because the aging creep senator said it was showing him pictures of young girls dancing. Anglo Americans are characterised by a glaring lack of their own personal responsibility, in much the same way the fabled rule of law came out of a Britain that often broke their word and cheated each other, so too is the fabled “pulled myself up by my bootstraps, personal responsibility” American.

There is a certain irony in all this
I am enjoying the irony. In the late 19th to early 20th century, opium money from China built the greatest of America's universities, infrastructure projects, and rich societies. America thought that it could get away with this. But now, about a century later, the karma is coming to bite them back.

BTW, this fentanyl crisis is definitely not China's doing. They just sell the precursor chemicals to US chemical and pharma companies. Then, for whatever reasons, these chemicals ended up in the black market. Sold to Mexican drug labs across the border to turn them into fentanyl, and then smuggled back to the US, their biggest market. If anyone says that there is no corporate greed and govt corruption involved, I have a bridge to sell you.

Rampant narcotics destroys a society. Unchecked rampant narcotics can destroy a nation. The US elites, media, and academics claim that the US is not gonna fall anytime soon. Look at the streets of America. It's happening right now. I'm suspecting that there is also a drug problem in the US military. Let's see how serious it gets in the near future.

This newspaper has something to say about S.Korean embassy's 'protest': Global Times Editorial

The South Korean Embassy in China recently sent us a letter, lodging a so-called "formal protest" in response to several reports and opinion articles published by the Global Times concerning South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol's visit to the US. Such words that crossed boundaries and came with strong emotions should not come from a diplomatic institution. We cannot accept the rather brutal interference in our independent reporting, and we find it difficult to agree with the views and accusations against our newspaper in the "letter of protest."

China kicks back at the barking dog.
Do you guys think GlobalTimes post-Hu Xijin is better than before?

I'm not too concerned about the Thai elections. Thailand is not a true democracy. It has limited democracy, overseen by the Monarchy and the military. Military coups are quite common in Thai politics. The latest one was in 2014. All the Thai generals who did those coups were fervent monarchists. It is not pretty from a Western-style democracy standpoint. But that is Thailand, and it is none of their business.

All of the US-sponsored political parties in Thailand have anti-monarchy agendas. While the Thai monarchy had lost some of its popularity since the passing of King Bhumibol, it's still a core identity of Thailand. The Thai nation would not allow the US to destroy their core identity. That is where this limited democracy helps. Thailand may have spineless politicians, but the nation itself has a spine of it's own.

Furthermore, the Thai oligarchy are very close to the monarchy and the military. They loved the Chinese business for decades. Many are also Thai Chinese. If their business is harmed by some idiot politicians, they're gonna talk to the King and his army generals.

Even if the US-sponsored politicians win the elections. They'll be under immense pressure to continue business as usual. If they will not listen, or dared to take things too far. Then there will be massive protests. And another military coup around the corner.

China-U.S. ties of great significance to the world: FM

Relations between China and the U.S. are of great significance not only to both countries, but also to the world, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang said on Monday.

He made the remarks when meeting with the U.S. Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns in Beijing.

Noting

by the top leaders of China and the U.S. last November, Qin said that the hard-won positive development momentum between the two sides was destroyed by erroneous words and actions of the U.S.

As the agreed negotiations and cooperation agenda have been disrupted, it is imperative to stabilize China-U.S. relations and avoid a downward spiral and prevent accidents between the two countries, Qin said.

Expressing the principle of "mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation," Qin pointed out that China hopes that the U.S. side will move in the same direction with China to push China-U.S. relations out of the predicament and back on the right track.

The U.S. side should correct its perception of China, return to rationality, and achieve mutual success in the better development of each country, Qin said, adding that the U.S. should not talk about communication on the one hand, while constantly "suppressing and containing" China on the other.

Noting that the U.S. must respect China's bottom line, stop harming China's sovereignty, security and development interests, Qin reiterated that the U.S. should properly handle the Taiwan issue and stop continuing to "hollow out the one-China principle."

"We should push negotiations and talks on the back of mutual respect and equal benefit," he said, hoping that Ambassador Burns will make constructive efforts in China by having more contacts and more communication and being a bridge between China and the United States.
Is this a dialogue or lecture by Qin Gang?

Joint patrols in South China Sea to begin 'very soon' - envoy

Joint patrols in the disputed South China Sea among the Philippines and its allies could begin "very soon," the Philippines' envoy to the United States said Monday.

"I foresee it to happen very soon," Ambassador Jose Manuel "Babe" Romualdez told ANC's "Headstart".

"This time, we're seriously sitting down and putting down the parameters of where the Philippines and Australia, who is obviously very much interested in joining these joint patrols or joint exercises with the United States, and hopefully, Japan will also look at this opportunity for them to join forces," he added.
