France has refused to provide Ukraine with the means to allow its aircraft to fly over Belarus. Le Monde has learned the Ukrainian authorities asked Paris for a digital map of Belarus, essential for combat aircraft or drones to carry out low-altitude missions. When contacted, the Defense Ministry did not wish to comment.

These digital maps – called DTED (digital terrain elevation data) in pilots' jargon – detail the topography of an area but also provide data on obstacles, such as high-voltage power lines or wind turbines, and above all military equipment that could prove dangerous for an aircraft, such as radar equipment or anti-aircraft batteries. "It incorporates all the tactical data needed for very low altitude penetration, at night or with poor visibility," said a military source.
They already slow in delivery French-Italian system. The leaks based on March. I think Russia will now prefer Ukraine throw all the tech at it to test both defensive and offensive systems.

China today isn't China from 20 years ago. There are plenty of domestic brands that offer competitive products. The only safe way forward, it seems, is for foreign brands to do background checks on their employees to make sure that no Chinese liberal is hired. A quick and dirty way would be checking the social credit of all applicants.
Foreign companies actually enforcing and requiring self-discipline and belief of the Chinese nation on their employees. That would be peak irony lol
Imagine foreign companies putting this in all job/contractor postings from now on: "No hanjians!"

First article, China's ascendance, second article, China's decline, the third article, China's stagnant. Talk about obsession.

How can this is journalism. China may fall, China may rise and we don't have any idea. We don't know but let pretend China may fall and turn a blind eye to the falling of other players, like US and Europe.

How can this is journalism.
It's not journalism or editorial.... It's an opinion article....and I'm not sure how many you guys are American....but my fart noises can be published in the opinion section in any US newspaper.

Quite frankly, Western journalism is already gibberish....but Opinion articles is next level gibberish. Anti-China Opinion articles are a dime a dozen too.

U.S. Begins Planning for 6G Wireless Communications

Biden administration aims to reassert u.s. leadership in telecom, an area where china has made gains

WASHINGTON—The Biden administration is beginning to plan for 6G wireless telecommunications, seeking to expand internet access while reasserting U.S. leadership in a sector where China has notched gains.

The White House on Friday will meet with corporate, government and academic experts to begin developing goals and strategies for the new 6G communications technology, which would have the ability to take cloud computing and the mobile internet to true global ubiquity, among other improvements.

The 6G planning initiative also aims to reassert the leadership of the U.S. and its allies in telecommunications, where China has made gains thanks in part to careful nurturing of homegrown equipment manufacturing and increased participation in international standard-setting.

Are they going to ditch 5G infrastructure and attempt to usurp China lead in 6G instead?
