Lol he can just go back to China to work. I'm sure he can find a well-paying job in China if he is a critical talent as he claims himself to be.

Does he hate China and love America that much?

He should apply to work in a BDSM chamber, since he likes getting teabagged and prostrating himself real hard.

What's he complaining about? He gets the severance pay when he's laid off. Twitter is not getting that back. It means he just got 4 months of pay instead of 3 months.

People who are savvy have already sense the change in wind a while ago and bailed and gone back to China. If you only start to realise now it's too late, those cushy positions in China are already gone and if you want to go back now you gotta go back to being a code farmer.

It must be because the country I'm currently in, the people haven't sensed the change in wind yet - which has frustrated me countless times. Thankfully, I'm leaving the country I'm currently in next month, and have no plans to return.

Quite horrible to live in a country which still has a bit of a colonial hung up hangover. 3/10 would not recommend

It's quite sad that the first time I was called an wumao was in an Asian-majority country

How dare China build a military that can fight a war? China can only have a military for parade!
I've brought this up before that there was a British biographical miniseries back in 1980s called Shaka Zulu about the legendary Zulu warrior king. In it they depicted how Shaka before he was king he saw how wars were fought and it was just two armies show up on a battlefield facing off where each side just shows a lot of bravado dancing around maybe throwing a couple spears where no one was injured and all of the sudden a winner was declared. The loser had to give whatever concessions. The side that usually won was just like how incumbents in an election usually win because they have the advantage of being established. Of course Shaka didn't like this and wanted to bring the horror of war back and whoever killed the other army first won. They painted him a barbarian for bringing blood and slaughter back to war. I have no idea if that's how it was really like or if the British were just projecting themselves in this because if you watch movies like Braveheart that's how they did it there too. And in there too the establishment got upset when someone didn't want to play by their rules where they think they're always suppose to win regardless. You're seeing that very attitude today. China is suppose to just have an army for show now and not for actual fighting and of course everyone is suppose to yield to the West, the established power. And of course they act like they're the victim being wrong if people don't follow their rules that are designed to their advantage.

Today you don't see two armies facing off before the battle starts. Did the West win their wars that way when they colonized the world? No. They did everything they would call barbaric and evil if the other side did that to them. Remember they addicted populations in Asia to opium so they weren't capable of putting up a fight before they went in to conquer. They didn't call for a parley between two facing armies. They were sneaky and had no honor. They did every dirty deed possible and somehow China is suppose to have just an army for show...?

Think of the upside though. Chinese people in US with those IT jobs could at least go back to China and become a 码农. On the other hand Silicon Valley is now casting off their Indian contractors like it's out of fashion after Musk started the trend. For those Indians it's an even bigger transition if they move back.

Screw these kinds of a$$h0les.

China's population is more than 4 times that of the US. And somehow, these buffoons expect that China should only operate a military that is the size and scale of Madagascar's? Or Somalia's?

In fact, I believe that China should operate a military that is AT LEAST DOUBLE the SIZE, SCALE and FIREPOWER that of the US. Only by that could China really protect and defend her people well.

"The Japanese find these – what they call – ghost boats, North Korean boats full of dead sailors from North Korea who have starved because China illegally took all the fish."

Seriously? This crap is from the mouth of a so-called China expert and he is a "Harvard guru". God bless America.

In US tech, severance pay typically comes with a 'rehiring pay back' clause: if the company rehires the employee within a period of time (specified in the severance paperwork), then the employee has to pay back the severance pro-rated (if it has already been paid out).

Seems to be the case for this Peter Yang guy with his "signing release of claims agreement" language. Effectively Twitter played him out of his 3-month severance and now offers him 4 weeks severance instead.

Japan space research team tampered with experiment data: JAXA

TOKYO —— Japan's space agency said Friday that one of its research teams tampered with data from an experiment simulating life on the International Space Station.

The team, headed by 58-year-old astronaut Satoshi Furukawa, "fabricated," as well as "altered large amounts of data" concerning the psychological well-being of participants in the experiment, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency said at a press conference.

Although not believed to be directly involved in the misconduct, Furukawa bore partial responsibility as he had a "supervisory role" in the experiment, JAXA Vice President Hiroshi Sasaki said.

Sasaki said the astronaut will face the "appropriate" disciplinary action but added that changes to Furukawa's voyage to the ISS planned for next year have "not been considered."

Apologizing for the incident, Sasaki said, "sloppy management of the experiment has damaged the credibility of (our) research data and the scientific value of research as a whole."

The experiment involved 40 people confined to a closed environment for about two weeks at a facility in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture, northeast of Tokyo, between 2016 and 2017 to assess their stress levels and mental well-being.

Furukawa became the third Japanese to have completed a long-term mission in space, after Koichi Wakata and Soichi Noguchi, when he traveled aboard the Russian spacecraft Soyuz and stayed at the ISS for 165 days.

He was officially certified as an astronaut in 2001 after working as a gastrointestinal surgeon.
