Trump is a political outsider and a loose canon, that's why the deep state hated him so much.

DeSantis is an uncharismatic establishment groomed politician. He'll continue the support for Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan etc.
Yep. Especially since Desantis is in Florida where the Cuban slaveowners ended up settling. That's Desantis 's power base.

Trump is a loose cannon but his cannon leaves New York State-sized craters everywhere.

DeSantis is a more accurate cannon but his cannon craters are only pothole-sized.

Such as?

DeSantis will say some mean things about trannies and blacks or Mexicans. From a foreign policy point of view (the only point relevant to non-Americans) it'll be the same as Biden. Another neocon globalist puppet.

I've always taken Germans to be the most intelligent Western Europeans. Recently, that perception has slipped due to how poor their leadership has become but this shows me that the intellect of average German citizens is intact.

you think every product over engineered ,unreliable that contribute to complex supply chains with net result is environmental degradation below and above the surface across Europa is some kind of intelligence. this worked as long as rich North America/Mideast and now Asia could afford it. Most of German innovation and quality of university education is due to Eastern Europeans and Jews.
Germany never had responsibility of empire but provided supporting role to Ottomans/British. since Germany played role of intermediate power it always had interests in creating conflicts to increase its importance. even in cold war it played Neue Ostpolitik to balance. and today it will be in German interests that US vs the rest to raise German importance.

Actually the biggest winner in these midterms is DeSantis. He won his state by a huge landslide, his supported picks also won.

Trump on the other hand is the biggest loser. His endorsed candidates all lost, and what's even more damning is in PA his candidate lost against a person who couldn't even speak

In my opinion, DeSantis will become Republicans' new leader and will most likely be their 2024 presidential pick
It is easy win Florida when Republican leaning voters moving there. De Santis will face same problems as Trump if he got involved in democratic leaning states.

I'm really confused about this. I highly doubt the US government would allow this to happen.

Still, it's in Reuters and therefore, interesting to see.
It means that Boeing got the message that China sent when they drastically reduced the new purchases. They either become useful for China somehow or they will be booted out. I think this message should be expanded to many other companies collaborating with the US sanctions. Namely, it is time to dismantle Google and Meta ad business in China - it is the second largest ad market for them by revenue yet they are spearheading many anti-China initiatives. Zuck is already tanking, China should help his demise.
