Yes agree. If this was America, the Chinese PR machine is not Faux News or CNN, it is more like PBS ...
Maybe they want to take a following tact, as illustrated by the next story.
The Chinese Communist Party often likes to portray itself as the victim, the Huawei controversy they justifiably claim to be a victim of double dealing hypocrisy.
However, the Chinese Communist Party prefers being brutal, just my opinion.
The next story, probably the way it should be.
I won't be surprised when the brutal treatment comes out when the USA is embroiled in a election crisis during the election along with the pandemic going up in order to inflict maximum damage. Whenever China acts, they always act in a why that offers no opportunity to counter, just like the HK national security law, no one could do anything about it and given that during the election, Europe is currently going to go into shutdown yet again due to second wave and other nations have no interested in helping the USA right now. The USA has been in panic mode and how a lot of corporations are suing the government for screwing everything up, imagine what will happen if these corporations end up losing a large sum of there profits at the worse possible time. The USA will not get any cheap goods and the big businesses will lose income, hence more unemployed people in the millions and thus SHTF big time.Yes agree. I personally agree with the statement in a way. Sadly, It seems that the US has been hijacked by fundamentalists (Neocons and Neolibs) and turned into a sort of Nazi Germany minus the industrial genocide. With its malign actions around the world it has increasingly become a serious challenge to the peace and stability of the world. With its wars and coups of aggression, rampant espionage, rampant global misinformation campaigns, its funding of terrorists, its weaponization of space, its breaking of treaties and agreements left and right,etc. it has made the world a far more dangerous place. Overall, I think the out-of-control Neocon/Neolib US is currently the greatest nation-state based threat the world has ever had to face.
What will the "true free world"(all non US-vassal states) do to confront and if necessary defeat this threat? Will the true free world sit idly by and do nothing as this out-of-control Neocon/Neolib regime instigates a major global catastrophe? Even typical US vassal/satellite states like Germany, France, Denmark, South Korea, Japan, etc. should see the writing on the wall by now. Will they continue to aid and abet the Neocon/Neolib US or refuse to take part in this march towards escalation?
From my perspective it seems these US client states largely have learned nothing from the past and would happily follow the Neocon/Neolib US into oblivion. I sincerely hope that i am wrong in this assessment.

The Orlando Police Department says Nevan Baker, 22, was found dead by hanging from a tree in George Barker Park just after 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 5.
A spokesperson for the Orlando Police Department, however, told The Daily Beast that after “exhausting all leads,” the investigation concluded Baker’s death was a “tragic suicide.”
Authorities later said the investigation found no “evidence of foul play or any kind of physical struggle.”
While authorities at the medical examiner’s office have ruled Baker’s death a suicide, his mother, Sharhonda James, told the she noticed injuries on her son’s nose, forehead, and jaw when she identified him at the morgue.
Baker’s death comes after a slew of hanging deaths over the summer, including Robert Fuller, the 24-year-old on June 10 in a park near Palmdale City Hall in Southern California. Authorities immediately deemed it a suicide...

Mitte borough cites tensions in Germany-Japan relations as reason for order

Authorities in Berlin have ordered the removal of a statue memorializing “comfort women” from the city’s center.
On Oct. 7, Berlin’s central Mitte borough sent a notification to the Korea Verband, the Korean association that supervised the statue’s placement, instructing it to remove the statue by Oct. 14, Korea Verband Director Jung-Hwa Han announced. The borough further stated that it would forcibly remove the statue if it was not voluntarily removed and demand payment from the Korea Verband for associated costs.
Regarding the reason for its removal order, city authorities explained that the placement of an inscription without prior notification had caused tensions in Germany-Japan relations. Explaining that the statue “gives the impression that the borough of Mitte is fomenting conflict between South Korea and Japan and opposing Japan,” it added that it “refuses to allow public spaces to be unilaterally made into tools.” The inscription in question explains that the Japanese military forcibly drafted women from throughout the Asia-Pacific region as sexual slaves during World War II.
Han said the group would “first attempt to win the borough’s support through dialogue,” adding that it would cooperate on its response with around 50 local civic groups that have shown solidarity on the issue.
Japanese foreign minister demanded removal of statue in teleconference with German counterpart
The Korea Verband raised the statue of a young girl symbolizing the comfort women on a plot of public land in Mitte on Sept. 28 with the support of local women’s rights groups. The third such statue to be raised in Germany to date, it had drawn even more attention as the first to be placed in a public location. Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi, who was touring Europe at the time, responded with a 40-minute teleconference on Oct. 1 with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas. In a regular press conference on Oct. 6, Motegi shared that he had demanded the statue’s removal.
When asked about the Japanese government’s pressure to remove the statue in a regular briefing on Oct. 8, South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Kim In-chul said, “The peace statue is a work raised voluntarily by private citizens for the purpose of commemoration and education in connection with clear historical facts.”
“It does not help at all in resolving issues for the [Japanese] government to interfere artificially in the hopes of having it removed, and it goes against the very spirit of perceiving responsibility, apologizing, and reflecting that Japan itself has proclaimed,” he added.
