What type of computer do you use for doing such backup stuff? Do you stock up tons of food and household supplies just in case?
Just a gaming pc, intel 9900k (if you were to build one today you'd want a newer gen processor) and 128gb ddr4 ram/memory with a 2tb nvme ssd drive and rtx3080ti gpu... doing backup any laptop or netbook should suffice really....

I have a lot of memory/ram so I can use Vmware Workstation to run a lot of virtual machines and with my main disk being a nvme I dont have any issues running like five vm at the same time, be it mac, linux, windows, all on the same gaming pc

I would use linux like ubuntu, centos or rhel but for gaming I still need directx11/12 which runs on Windows 10.

Im using the LTSC of Windows 10 (v 1809) with all updates turned off permanently... Microsoft supports LTSC for 10 years but I have the kms that activates it to 2038.... by then I doubt the US will still exists as a nation...

I stock up on at least 20 gallons of gasoline at all times, to feed my Predator 3500 and Honda 2000i inverter generators in case of grid failure. And enough drinking water to last at least 3 months plus large cans of MountainHouse freeze dried foods to last 1 year supply. These are rated to store for 30 years...

In a full SHTF scenario no amount of prep is going to work, its to buy enough time (weeks really) to come to emotional terms that the world has ended etc....
