UK to use climate and aid cash to buy weapons for Ukraine

London says it has climate finance ‘underspends’ that can be used to help Kyiv, angering campaigners.

Britain will take money it had earmarked for poor countries to cope with climate change and give it to Ukraine as part of a £1 billion military aid drive.

And woke progressives voters wonder why the conservatives voters don’t believe a single word the liberal mouth piece spews out. Shocker. The climate cash pile is actually a slash fund for the elites paid by the state coffers.

U.S.-China Competition Zeroes In on Growth

Biden’s statement that U.S. GDP might grow faster this year than China’s has struck a nerve in Beijing

Over the past month, President Biden twice publicly stated that the U.S. economy might grow faster this year than China’s for the first time since 1976. The statements, which the White House said were based on independent projections, have struck a nerve in Beijing, according to policy advisers and Chinese economists who consult with the government
Meanwhile, the U.S. economy has rebounded strongly from Covid-related shocks, driven by vaccinations and expansive government stimulus, though high inflation now has led the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates at the fastest pace in decades. Prospects for a recession have grown.
In a May 30 opinion piece published in The Wall Street Journal about his plan to counter inflation, Mr. Biden sought to present the U.S. economy as strong, saying it “may grow faster this year than China’s economy for the first time since 1976.”
He followed up with a June 7 tweet, citing independent experts’ projection that the U.S. growth could outperform China’s this year. “America is in a stronger economic position today than just about any other country in the world,” Mr. Biden’s tweet said.
