Tbh their questions weren't that well thought off if they wanted to prove that LaMDA is sentient.

In this case you would like to reference its past answer and apply a logical question of it and ask it to answer you.

For example in the story of the owl and the monster I would had asked it what could the owl see and describe its surroundings, and then ask if it imagined that a blue filter was applied on its eyes, how would the colours change? And lastly, how would the scenary change if next to the monster, 2 fireflies were byzzing around, and how would the monster react if they were annoying it (explain visual, behavioural and maybe audio changes in the context of its general story)

Basically you want its first answer, apply a new situation in that answer and ask it to respond how would that affect its past answer with specifically asking to take this new instruction into account.

You want to reference its past answers as much as possible while changing the stories in a logical matter where the AI could morph its previous answer to take into consideration the new circumstances
They could also try giving it many incoherent messages or contradicting statements to see if its actually capable of logical deduction and forming its own conclusion or opinion against the conversing party. A sample of messages from 4chan would work.

Technically speaking, nobody is lying.

The Americans just playing word games for propaganda sake.

The Chinese general made those comments in a speech he delivered in front of a live audience, IIRC. There is no point to repeat it to some American later in a meeting.

That is how the American position of strength works. China cannot tell them that in a private meeting. Publicly they can. Privately they cannot. America rules!

:D
If asked to choose which to believe when weighing the official government record of what was said in a meeting against what some anonymous ‘officials’ told a reporter behind a dumper, who himself already demonstrated great dishonesty and lack of integrity in how he chose to interpret answer given to the very loaded question he himself fed Karenlensky.

Well I’m going to go out on a limb and not trust you bro, and will believe the Chinese government record unless and until the US government dares to officially come out and dispute China’s version of events.

Singapore's Defense Minister got a bit too defensive on his response to a PLA General officer's question with respect to the utility of the Shangri-la forum where according to the General is nothing but another western dominated table talk, western dominated arguments and has pushed or highlighted differences rather than fostering common interests.

Defense minister: You don't like it, well, you're free to leave or not to attend, it's your call. Paraphrasing his response.

My opinion: it seems that this old toad is more than happy when China and the PLA are attacked, maligned by incendiary questions that are of no value yet when a question is being raised by a Chinese General officer no less, the toad is rather indignant. Like how dare you. What a true white slave monkey that man is.

In 'Asian Godfathers: Money and Power in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia', the author says that Singapore and Hong Kong are just glorified clearing houses for Western capital. They don't produce watermelons, refrigerators or cars.

Singapore Defence Minister has to uphold Singapore's status as a financial capitalist hub that extracts money from its hinterland of Southeast Asia.

Most Singaporeans just work in tertiary sector where white men have the most bargaining power in companies. It's quite a sad sight.

Even Olam and Wilmar, two of Singapore's most successful homegrown companies that are in the primary and secondary sectors, are extractive (of palm oil, sugar etc) from Southeast Asia.

Hong Kong's even worse than Singapore, but at least HK is now under ideological governance from Beijing. Singapore does produce semiconductor parts and oil refining, but they are under the stranglehold of Western IOCs like Shell and Exxon. Even though SG is the oil refining capital of the world, it has no homegrown oil refining company, just a bunch of subcontractors. It's quite sad.

At this point Singaporeans and Hong Kongers to a lesser extent are just helping Westerners remain strong and powerful and extracting capital out of Third World nations esp Southeast Asia.

Inbe4 China stops coming and Singapore be like "noooo not like that...."

I did heard something interesting i heard about Russia wanting to design a new G8 in the global south.
Also with Iran pushing for a new currency between SCO nations, probably something like IMF special drawing rights.
Really seems like the new block is accelerating their development.
