What is China's future or possible counter moves if and when Japan somehow manages to be accepted by NATO? Should China let the membership unfold knowing what possible dangers it entails for China especially when it's clearly being used by both Japan and U.S. + Europe to meddle in the Taiwan issue. We can harangue and argue about NATO operating out of it's geographical sphere but we all know that double standards isn't lost on these Anglo-Saxon dominated countries. This is almost a redux of the 8 alliances VS China during the Qing Dynasty but only this time China has nukes and is building additional ones.

If on the one hand China reacts by upping it's military budget countries on her periphery would use that as further proof of China's Hegemonic desires in the region if not globally. But if China does not improve her military budget it's almost sending a quite signal to the western world that it's being acquesiced by their strategy and bullying which would emboldened the crazies even more. Either way, China is clearly being boxed in politically so that it would run out of diplomatic options/leverage so that it will inevitably be pushed into using the use of military force FIRST which would finally justify US led forces like NATO to wage war against China. Ultimately, the 800 pound gorilla for the US and it's European lackeys is the subjugation and defeat of China. Once defeated China's political system will be replaced, and the predictable chaotic consequences ensure China will never rise to prominence ever again to threaten western led global order.

This ultimately depends on the current state of the USA and the fact the nation is collapsing in front of our eyes. Should China play their cards well and by all indication they will, the reverse is also very possible, a new world order where the Anglo west and their allies will be stripes of their power and will be knee caped so that any dreams of a continued hegemony will be gone for good and also to note is that considering the current failure in the ukriane and the resulting amount of nations are starting to resist the USA in earnest, I don’t NATO or the USA will dare to face China given their shortages in all the supplies that matter. NATO and the USA doesn’t have what it takes to face China given what a failure they are in Ukraine right now. If they are supposed to be that strong, Russiant shouldn’t have been able take that much territory as of now. Also to note is that the USA and NATO nations have sent much of their weapons stock to Ukraine for almost no real results and many of the USA military companies are now sanctioned by China or that they cannot produce the weapons with a limitless amount of bulk anymore. So if the USA wants to face China with a half empty inventory and their moral shot to heck given their current failures, we’ll let’s see what they have got. Also have to factor in that Russia will clearly want revenge on the USA for being the cause of this mess in Ukraine so the USA isn’t going to be able to focus its entire force on China if they also have to worry about the prospect of Russia sneaking a nuke into the USA when their backs are turned

I wouldn’t worry about Japan joining NATO. NATO is a threat to USSR because NATO is consisted of countries next to each other and they can aid each other easily. If Japan and China have a go at it, what can those European NATO members do? The British may send one or two of their type 45’s, but will they reach Asia without breaking down?

Guys, which thread are you discussing the below two incidents? I'm especially concerned about the spy plane sent by Canada to monitor North Korea because if the plane was flying in the Sea of Japan then it had nothing to do with China since China doesn't have territory over there but if it flew in Yellow sea then it is clearly not monitoring NK but China and deep inside China.
CNN:

Why Chinese warplanes are 'playing chicken' with US allies — and why they're doing it now

To expand on that, Russia would not tolerate a Japan in NATO anymore than China would, if anything it would simply allow China to provide unrestricted aid to Russia on top of increasing military coordination between China, Russia and North Korea, because at that point there would be effectively nothing to lose since it clearly demonstrates that the US and its lackeys will stop at nothing to maximize their power at everybody else's expense.

@1:12 Notice how the Vietnamese defence minister looks taken aback and then glares at Austin as he just points to the spot on the floor like he would to a child or a pet and be like, "Stand over there. Let's get this over with."

Complete lack of tact and common courtesy. Really says a lot about how the senior staff treat their counterparts.

Which reminds me of the episode where the Kenyan speaker of parliament travels to the US to meet with his counterpart, Nancy Pelosi, but was rejected. The reason given was: "Speaker Pelosi only meets with heads of state".

I don’t think there is a specific thread where that incident fits. You could make a China Pacific Thread to put it in.
