Sounds like bullshit. My friend works at Huawei Russia Research Institute (Moscow one) - there are no plans to close it, they are actively hiring, and just last week new employees from China arrived there. What's the point of expanding the R&D center if Huawei plans to halt its business in Russia? For example, Intel's R&D center in Nizhny Novgorod has closed after Intel temporarily withdrew from Russia - officially, the employees were not fired but sent on "vacation" while keeping their salaries as Intel does not want to lose the specialists. Same with R&D centers of NVIDIA and some other companies
Now is the time to poach these specialists.

Can't believe how easy and openly the US simply couped IK and no one reacted. No one from justice/political system, military, media, elites, people etc.

Thats revolution material here. How could anyone accept traitors and sellouts to rule his own country? I am not even a Pakistani and my blood is boiling watching this happen

This is a test for the Pakistani people, if even in this case people don't rise up and take action (peaceful or violent) against this treason, then they deserve everything happening.

Ultimately, its the people who make up a country (not vice-versa) and if these same people wont stand up against such blatant treason and foreign interference, it means that the country is essentially dead and buried.

First of all, calm down.

Second of all, the level of support that PTI is getting right now, in the general public, is unprecedented:

Keep in mind, these are snap protests, with little to no planning. They were sparked tonight by a single IK tweet. And this is during Ramadan, when people are fasting. This is happening all over Pakistan, in all major cities. Here's a video from Karachi, where the PTI didn't even win in the last elections:

HOWEVER: Even though I support the PTI here, even I admit that there are genuine grievances that people have with PTI's leadership. The Army supported Imran Khan throughout his tenure as well, until October. The rank and file of the Army still overwhelmingly supports IK (and this is a serious problem for the Army leadership.)

As for the US, are they exploiting the situation? Yes, of course. But IK also made mistakes which contributed to this. And just because the Army is cold towards IK right now, doesn't automatically mean they've sold out to the US. The Army also "sold out" during the Afghan War, and we all know how that ended for the US.

This is a complex situation and by emotionally over-simplifying it, you're not helping. You're making it worse. Even I get too caught up in emotionalism sometimes (obviously, since this is my country after all) but I have to keep centered and look at things objectively.

My hope is that IK learns from his mistakes, while the Army also accepts the fact that there is mass support for IK, and they restrain the PDM, while pushing everyone towards securing a fresh mandate. The Army has flip-flopped between backing different political parties many times in our history, so IK can still recover the Army's support. If he wins the next election, and doesn't repeat some key mistakes, the Army will have no problems. In any case, I think/hope/pray that things are not as bad as they may look right now on social media.

We have been hearing and will continue to hear that such such Chinese companies have stopped doing business in Russia or have cut off relationship with Russia etc. There might be a few cases that this might be the true, for example if you're selling high-profile equipment with significant US components. But majority of the times, this is projection or preempting. There are obviously many cases where the business dealings or transactions are disrupted or affected temporarily because payments, sourcing or indeed risk assessment, but they will be sorted out over time.

In this particular case, I believe Huawei has 5G contracts with Russia; why should Huawei renege on them when Huawei's 5G business is under US sanction to begin with? Majority of the western countries have banned Huawei's 5G business in their countries, and Huawei does not have much of a smartphone business left or at least they're not sourcing from the US anymore.
Exactly, these are just more lies in the vein of "China is selling weapons to Russia." As the West's collective power has weakened, its propaganda has graduated from narrative framing to blatant fabrication. In a twisted way, they're being more true to the filthy liars they've always been.

The situation in Pakistan reminds me of Brazil's former president Lula, who was also ousted in a similar way. However, after a few years, Lula is back. Hopefully, the same will happen with Imran Khan.

Brazilian leftist Lula leads Bolsonaro ahead of October election, poll shows

Lula, who served two terms as president from 2003 to 2010, would win a first-round vote by 43% to 29% if the election were held today, the survey by pollster FSB Pesquisa found.

Lula's 14-point lead widens to 19 percentage points in a run-off between the two main contenders, said the poll, which was commissioned by investment bank BTG Pactual.

Bolsonaro's rejection rate is the highest among all potential candidates, with 59% of those surveyed saying they would never vote for him, followed by Sao Paulo Governor Joao Doria, who is trailing with just 2% of voter support.

Current situation in Pakistan: protests in support of Imran Khan erupt allover the country, while the Pakistanian and Western media engage in total censorship.
