The governments of Argentina and China Wednesday agreed to strengthen bilateral ties, particularly in science and technological developments, it was reported.

After a meeting between Argentina's Ambassador to Beijing Sabino Vaca with China's Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Zhang Kejian, who is also the highest authority of the National Space Administration of China (CNSA), the two countries agreed to promote negotiations of the “2021-2025 Space Cooperation Plan”, which encompasses different areas of collaboration, such as space science, deep space exploration and Earth observation, among others.

Zhang also offered “scholarships for studies in the space, nuclear and defense industry areas” for Argentine students, Chinese sources said. Space cooperation between Argentina and China dates back to the presidencies of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, when a Chinese base was set in the Argentine province of Neuquén.

After the meeting, the Chinese vice minister was “open” to deepen collaboration in the field of nuclear energy, through the development of multipurpose research reactors and the construction of a “Hualong 1 nuclear power plant” in Argentina.

Regarding the defense industry, Vaca stressed the importance of all productive projects “having the transfer of technology and capabilities to defense companies” in Argentina.

Meanwhile, in Buenos Aires, Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero and Science Minister Daniel Filmus held a working meeting to promote the “Program for the Internationalization of products and services based on knowledge,” which sought to generate resources worth around US $ 6 billion.

The ministers agreed to “a roadmap to develop articulated work to promote non-traditional exports in knowledge-intensive activities,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Filmus said that “our objective is to insert Argentine technology-based companies in international markets so that they can demonstrate their competitive capabilities.”

The Program will have various lines of action, among them the promotion of exports of products and services, giving priority to a set of knowledge areas where there are international competitive capacities, for example health, agricultural biotechnology, satellite and nanotechnology.

Western media is extremely anti-Djokovic because he is the leader of a breakaway player council that is not controlled by the ATP. He has been advocating for players to get a greater share of the tournament revenue. This has infuriated the corporate bosses and their media allies have attacked Djokovic relentlessly. He is also breaking the records held by the Western media’s golden boy Federer. Djokovic is a regular punching bag for the Western media. So he’s probably relieved for once he’s not the punching bag. Lost a lot of respect for him.

Same. I am actually watching tennis and I had always known how the western media treated him. In every grand slam final he was always playing 1 vs 2.
1 being the opponent
And the 2nd being the western crowd which is always against him

In fact the only time I remember the crowd being with him was in Shanghai (very ironic when contrasted with his recent comments..) and this last final he lost

I also know, as you mentioned, his activism for more money to go to the athletes. Mistakenly, I thought he would side with the developing world but it seems that being "white" is above everything

Don't forget that "white" has many subcategories:
1st is the US + Western Europe + 5 Eyes
2nd is the Eastern Europe
3rd is Caucasian
4th is the honourary whites (Japan, S.Korea, et al) who want to be seen as whites, but the above categories treat them as yellow lol

All in all, I have also lost all of my respect for him when he started parroting the western propaganda against China.(being anti-vaxx also certainly doesn't help..)

I think he has battered women syndrome where the more the Anglos abuse him, the more he brown noses them.

WTA doesn’t run the 4 grand slams. The International Tennis Federation (ITF) runs all 4 grand slams. WTA (womens) and ATP (mens) run the tournaments outside of the grand slams like Masters and other smaller tournaments. No one outside of hardcore tennis fans watch these smaller tournaments. They are considered warmups for the grand slams and top players just skip them altogether.

But any upcoming player has to play in the WTA/ATP tournaments to get ranking points to qualify for the majors and grand slams. Having a few home matches improves the chances of the younger players improving their rankings. Sometimes 5 points can determine whether one makes the cut or not.
