With how much Americans brag about their military, their population sure doesn't think it's that great.
Whatever, Jr. Bush's approval rate in 2001 also shot through the roof on the start of Op Freedom.
American public are conditioned through social and media engineering to be bullish when their politcians want to wage a war, the real sentiment set in after the bodycounts and economic costs pile up.

According to the poll, 90% of Americans approve of the United States taking such military action, while just 5% are opposed, and another 5% are unsure. By about the same margin, 92% to 5%, Americans also approve of the way Bush is handling the campaign against terrorism. By way of comparison, 79% approved of the decision on January 16, 1991 to initiate the air war against Iraq at the beginning of the Persian Gulf War.

[Re: three-quarters of Americans distrust the news media]

they probably lump international news and domestic news together in the poll. If the respondent trusts the international news but not the domestic one (or vice versa), they might say they "don't have much confidence", though they actually mean "I don't trust a certain section of the reporting."

It doesn't matter. Once a man loses trust in you, your credibility on anything goes way down. Three quarters of Americans no longer trust their media: this is quite significant.

Abbott is the Australian PM who wanted to 'shirtfront' Vladimir Putin back in 2014, I actually don't even know what shirt front means. Someone really needs to put this knucklehead in his place.

The way to deal with these people is to hit them hard in their pockets

China lists 100 ways US meddled in Hong Kong (Full show) (RT, 28 SEP 2021)

China’s foreign ministry has released an official list detailing 100 distinct instances of US meddling in Hong Kong. The list slams the administrations of Trump and Biden as well as a host of US politicians from both parties, including Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California).

RT America’s Faran Fronczak joins Rick Sanchez with the details. Then Jeremy Kuzmarov of CovertAction Magazine joins Rick Sanchez to weigh in on China’s list of 100 instances of US interference in Hong Kong. He points out that the National Endowment for Democracy, a known CIA front, funded and trained anti-Beijing activists in Hong Kong and encouraged its violent secessionist movement while packaging the same as a human rights struggle.

The US government will spend $1.5 billion in the next 5 years to train the western media and journalists to write exclusive negative stories about China. This is the end of free media.

yeah $300 million a year, that has been a meme in China ever since Biden took office. Someone drew this picture in reference to it:

The idea being "public intellectuals" who were saying in 2020 that US, being land of the free home of the brave would handle COVID-19 better has been almost entirely discredited. But with this new injection of money from Sleepy King they're being reanimated back to life.
