Remember when the US was accusing China of secretly making superhuman soldiers by altering DNA?

Well projection again!

Two issues with any assumption that the US would use this for “superhuman soldiers”.
1) IF this were to even happen, it would be exclusively for the benefit of the elite Capitalist class; soldiers come from the lowest class and are eminently expendable. You must always center AmeriKKKan Capitalism’s parasitic, vampiric, extractive, exploitative nature and methodology in all of your analysies thereof.

2) IF it were to be used militarily, the Olympic athlete donors would have to be racially screened because no white AmeriKKKan man would ever want any “nigger” (using their terminology) DNA injected into them.

2 words.
Strategic messaging.
I've said this before. They are trying to gauge how China will react.
So far China's reaction has been timid. US is trying to give the message that in a conflict between Taiwanese Island of China vs China, US will get involved . And China should not escalate it beyond regional conflict. Essentially it means US is going to drop bombs on Chinese territory, of course officially it means targeting PLA, unofficially it means whatever damage they can do without getting touched.
What china should make it clear is that, any conflict in Chinese territorial matter is china's matter. If US get involved in this, China will get involved with US mainland. Cities like NYC or DC may go though extensive "reforms" .

Sis :confused::confused:
Have you read any new pronouncements from the current Chinese leadership where it has wavered or waffling when it comes to the core mission and objective of the CPC/PLA? I was just listening to the most recent podcast of Professor Kishore Mahbubani with Gen.George Yeo where the topic of Taiwan was discussed at length. According to Yeo during the closed door meeting between Yang Jeichi and Blinken of U.S. that was Blinken reaffirmed the Shanghai communique/accord to Jeichi along with the "One China policy"...watch and listen to the video starting at 27:30 onwards...

China and any subsequent leaders of the country will not trade horse with anyone country over Taiwan or any of it's territories period. If the U.S. strategic ambiguity is peeled away then War is the next inevitable course of action and result.

Here's something interesting:

Do not forget that Buzzfeed just won a Pulitzer for its 'innovative' report using google earth and 3D models to "prove" Xinjiang detention camps.

Now I always never liked their report for one main reason, no actual site visits... why?
You can draw all the pretty pictures you want, but they don't "prove" anything... All it would take is one or two snapshots of menacing armed guards and the whole western world would eat it up. Instead we have nothing... The often bandied about excuse is that foreign journalists are barred from Xinjiang, but any journalist is willing to sneak around to get a big scoop.

Anyhow, BuzzFeed news has tried to be a more serious outlet, going as far as winning some awards for their stories. However, in the end, the question is how much truth are they willing to omit to seek greater views and thus valuation.

Now from that article we see NYT is poaching BuzzFeed news staffers. Could explain the uptick in these anti-China stories? They are written because they SELL.
