Has anybody ever considered the idea that the US isn't really low on munitions and that it just claims the opposite on behalf of the MIC to increase defence spending? Do we actually have any solid evidence on how many munitions the US has produced in the past decades? The only [indirect] evidence I see is the moving of certain assets from one place to another of higher priority.

When Mango can allocate 17 billion dollars per Trump class battleship I doubt that they need to fake low munitions to get additional MIC fundings.

It's not like it affects Chinese war planning. China isn't about to try to "take advantage" of an opportunity and spark up a shooting conflict in its backyard tomorrow or anything. China will only make a move after it has achieved complete over-match against the US and its dogs at full strength. Now whether this is a feasible or completely foolproof strategy and not being bold or risky is a good idea or not, that is another conversation.

In internal exercises PLAN assumes that all U.S. destroyers used are Flight III Burkes when we know that won’t be a case irl.
