China is the economic engine of the world. The reason why the West is losing influence in the world is because they no longer are economic engine of the world. They give nothing to the world where China doesn’t offer a better deal meaning everyone gets more than they would get with the West. That’s why China is winning. The reason why the West wants China out of the picture is so they can regain what wasn’t theirs in the first place and then charge more so the West can make as much money as they can from the world with no restrictions. China’s success only burns the Western world and that’s a good thing. Before China’s rise, things like refrigerators and air conditioners were luxuries only found in the West. What the West hates is that China is making them more like everyone else in the world. There’s nothing fair or equal in a Western world order. And this guy dares to claim China is bad for the world when Trump is President of the United States…?

Didn't US terminate their mutual defense treaty with Republic of China (Taiwan)? Didn't the US refuse to sell F-35's to Taiwan? Didn't the US stop Taiwan from getting nukes? Didn't US withdraw US troops and bases from Taiwan?
Basically, "deterrence against China invading Taiwan" basically means prolonging that grift of selling overpriced weapons to Taiwan (and other vassals) to enrich the military industrial complex and maintain status quo. They literally don't care about actual defense of Taiwan, it's all a grift to enrich the empire.
I don't believe such an extent exists. The leaders are, from the start of their careers in lower positions, well aware of how this kabuki functions, and vye for representation (of the elite) at ministerial levels, much like how social media influencers vye for corporate contracts for marketing, to get paid themselves. It's just a profession of "pick me, I can be your representative; you do your shit and I will take the blame".
Gotta sink a ship or two to prove you got the balls to back up your new “arrangement”. Question is, DO you have the balls to do that?
