That was a light-hearted joke starting with "What if." I certainly support a rare earth choke but only if the CCP calculates that now is the right time. I don't ever pretend to know more or better than them. Whether it's time now to confront the US with what we have while the have no ammo left or if they feel it's better to do so in 10 years when all our next gen projects designed to overmatch the US come online is up to them.
My quip was also a joke. The /s means sarcasm because it's impossible to convey that tone through text. That said, does the destruction of multiple THAAD radar systems change your calculus on how effective American ballistic missile defence is at preventing China from achieving MAD? Personally, I see this development along with the rapidly depleting interceptor stockpiles as a reduction in the odds the US pivoting to China in the short term.

Whenever China gets these chance, they really need to dial up the pain meter to maximum. They've been too soft frankly.
There should also be NO eventual forgiveness or mercy, despite how many concessions Panama, Lithuania and the Netherlands are willing to offer up by way of apology. Even a slight moment of weakness means other countries in the future will try to screw over China as well. China needs to start putting metaphorical heads on spikes on top of the front gate for all to see and be warned with and they need to be put there for a LONG time, if not forever.

You just can't make this shit up.

Can you just give us the key points? A lot of us don't have an entire hour to kill.
OK, major part of discussion was on the issue of foreign policy, where the panel implied that peronal deal making has taken a precedence rather than the core issues of diplomacy, current crisis in Iran was main point of contention, as India has taken a very strong approach with Indian Prime Minister present in Israel in 26th of Februray, addressing their Knesset, making 20+ trade deals, pledging support to Israel, then having Israel and USA attacking Iran on 28th February, Issue was raised whether Modi knew about the plan that was supposedely in motion or was he gullible enough to not know that wheels were in motion for decapitating attack on Iran.

On the issue of Iran, India supposedly made 8 different statments condemning Iran on attacking its neighbours, making no statment after IRIS Dena was attacked and drowned in Indian ocean while visiting Vishakapatnam on India's Invitation, all of these without once mentioning that Israel and USA attacked and killed Iraning head of state and also a religious leader, took part in UNSC resolution in condeming Iran, after all of these when Strait of Hormuz closed, only then contacting Iranian leadership and begging for LPG ships to leave the Gulf, then issue of Quad and BRICS summit was raised, where India has the Chair for both of these orgnizations in year 2026, according to Panelists Quad was dead horse, its very reason for being (as check on Chinese rise and containing it) was gone, while issue of BRICS and voice of Global South was raised, where it was stated that India does not stand for any values when it comes to these nations and what will happen in BRICS summit when Iran as prominent member of BRICS will surely be invited with India having such a unbalanced relationship with Israel during/before this ongoing conflict between Iran and USA and Israel.

Also there are also some domestic issues were discussed like cronyism was raised, why a certain individual (if you don't know his name, then you don't follow India) and his companies are getting all the contracts and its impact on foreign policy (as its now very unbalanced) vis a vis USA is concerned as its 5 time they were dictated from which country to not buy the discounted oil (Iran, Venezuela and Russia) then getting one month waiver of getting back to Russia and begging for the oil (with no discount), hopefuly you get the gist.

2026 looks to be lame duck year for BRICS and Quad.
