All the problems in the India Open 2026 that turned it into a legendary disaster. Jai Hind!

The Badminton Association of India have been busy downplaying the issues and blaming foreign athletes for being overly sensitive. This is far from the first time that India have hosted the India Open. Somehow it feels like things are actually getting worse.

Yet India is going to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games and is shamelessly bidding for the 2036 Olympics. I think if India continues to screw things up, the 2030 Commonwealth Games might be the first in history to be boycotted for dirtiness and poor safety, not politics.

Well to be fair to the international athletes- I too am "sensitive" to birds pooping onto me and the court,and monkeys stealing my cellphone and my personal belongings(wonder if these animals were somehow trained?) not to mention e.coli,dysentery,cryptosporidium,crime etc,etc.It's actually gotten worse from the last india-hosted Commonwealth Games

Does anyone have update on this Chinese noodle restaurant that was attacked in Kabul???
This is a popular food spot in Kabul and even people from all embassies in the area, foreign UN delegations and NGOs frequently visits this place. This is not only a great Chinese muslim food spot but also becoming a great Chinese cultural export in the area.

The Boss is a really nice and genuine guy, and I really hope he is alright. His family are all Chinese muslims and they are active on social media as well, but idk what's their status right now, there's some contradicting claims on douyin and bilibili about their well-being. And I'm wondering who is the one Chinese national that was killed. Their social media accounts are delisted as of now.

Also, as much as I want to say "the ISIS terrorist shall pay for this", it is precisely times like this where I do in fact acknowledge the American foreign policy of conducting covert revenge attack operations to make the terrorist pay and be held accountable. This is unfortunately not in line with how China does things. And knowing such outcome, this injustice definitely doesn't sit right with me.

P.S. given the extremely laughable "official excuse" given by the ISIS terrorist that claimed this attack, this seems highly likely connected to the CIA. They claim that their aim of killing Chinese muslims is to "help protect Chinese muslims against the Chinese government". A mentally challenged person could come out with a better nonsense.

This is probably obvious for the people here, but I'm starting to realize India is what the broader West thinks China is: dirty, disorganized, incompetent, and corrupt.

This event was held in New Delhi which doesn't even have a badminton community. It's also notorious for being polluted, over crowded, and having shitty people. That's not me saying it, this coming Indians themselves. Then there's the news clips in that YT video. It's abundantly clear the BJP's media allies have no interest in actually improving the situation, only using it as a weapon against opposition parties and anyone who isn't a rich Hindu.

Replace everything I just said with "China" and tell me that hasn't been the New York Times for the past 50 years.

Literally nothing was given though. The US has rights to all of this already. They had ~10k soldiers in Greenland during the Cold War. They voluntarily withdrew 98% of them after 1991. No mining of any scale is possible in Greenland because the average thickness of ice there is 1.7 km. This is why nobody is mining there, not because of China or Russia. Every Europeans news outlet is calling yesterday a spectacular TACO on Trump's part, which I would agree. Something else to note is Rutte is not even a Danish citizen, let alone someone with power on this. He could talk on this because nothing was to change.

I 100% agree. The same goes for their international relations too. There is a common trope of China having problems with all of its neighbors. But when you look at it, China has problems with just 5 of its 20+ neighbors. India has problems with all of them except for Bhutan which was literally vassalized long ago.

nothing yet, but saw a douyin video of the Afghan community laying the bodies to rest. Seemed like a genuine outpouring of care from the neighbors.
