I doubt China will punish the Dutch that much, all because of ASML. China is still heavily dependent on ASML and imports a lot of Lithography machines from them. If China retaliates too much, they can stop ASML exports completely. I don't think China is still ready for that kind of cut-off yet. Maybe in 3-4 years.View attachment 162538
This guy's comment is exactly what I am going to say about the current Nexperia situation as well.
Netherlands should be severely punished for using bullying tactics against China. There should finally be some tangible consequences this time.
Pure projection. What this says is that the US economy is heading for recession and they are trying to get ahead of it by deflecting and projecting. For a country like the US to resort to such behavior is pathetic.“They are in the middle of a recession/depression,” added, “and they are trying to export their way out of it. The problem is they’re exacerbating their standing in the world.” (. Its exports rose 8.3% in September, and the World Bank expects China’s GDP to grow 4.8% this year. U.S. growth is forecast at 1.4%.)
Yeah, he was departing reality yesterday with, "Maybe the rare earth ban was issued by some low level official without Xi's permission." There was at least a maybe. Now he has firmly departed the realm of reality. "China's measely 5% growth means it's in heavy recession, because that's how a recession is defined: 5%. Meanwhile, they want to pull down the extremely healthy US economy, which is just an engine of growth with 1 out of the 2 last quarters above 0%."“They are in the middle of a recession/depression,” added, “and they are trying to export their way out of it. The problem is they’re exacerbating their standing in the world.” (. Its exports rose 8.3% in September, and the World Bank expects China’s GDP to grow 4.8% this year. It's interesting how a significant number of people seem to believe TikTok has been sold, when absolutely nothing has actually changed from 6 month ago other than US acceptance of continued Chinese control of TikTok US in exchange for censorship rights for American users, and even that's still not yet approved by Beijing.View attachment 162538

Some of them are just serving Trump game of muddying the water. It's interesting how a significant number of people seem to believe TikTok has been sold
Why are these guys' tactics so crude?? Like I get they want to imitate what they think China did. But China get technical and management experience from gentle exposure in joint ventures and licensing agreement - backed up by lure of its huge market of course - not outright forced transfer...... It shows a lack of statecraft of European politicians really.EU Considers Forced Tech Transfers for New Chinese Investments

It's not exactly against China's interest for Americans to convince themselves they bought TikTok when they haven't.Some of them are just serving Trump game of muddying the water.
The rest of them are simply USED to be a slave, can not believe that US can be beaten and is being beaten. A person used to kneel does not know how to stand.
