He is not the only one being roasted alive. Just take a look of the comments for this video:

The problem with China hawks is that they effectively want to prevent 1.4 billion Chinese from improving their standard of living.

By the same token, Michael Petits and his ilk don't really care about China's development either.
The irony is the people who explicitly wants to prevent the development of nations with much larger population, are themselves much easier to suppress by said nation with much larger population, and by explicitly stating their intent, they invite counter suppression that has been much more successful.

After all China has not shown a single iota of mercy when it comes to allowing the west to retain any industry, and people like this play a big part in why.

ICE groups are getting ambushed, is just not being reported, from what I can tell. Another issue is that no one inside the US government at a rank and file level really likes ICE as they know they are uneducated thugs, except cops from Crackerville and Racistburg, so I doubt that many people are going to bat for them if they start getting IED'd
ICE is really the nucleus of Trump’s freikorps and SA, he learnt from his first admin. That he needs an armed wing, just like the democrats have antifa.

if you look at the behaviour and intent of the five eyes, you’ll see that the guiding principle of the U.S. world order is white supremacy, based on Cecil Rhodes’ statement that “It is our duty to seize every opportunity of acquiring more territory and we should keep this one idea steadily before our eyes that more territory simply means more of the Anglo-Saxon race more of the best the most human, most honourable race the world possesses.”
In current era, this is condensed to the 14 words that white nationalists use, indicative of their sexual anxiety and sexual frustration:

As China rises, you’re going to see more coping myth making, like how supposedly Qin ShiHuang was really a white man and that the concept of China didn’t really exist until the 19th century, or that the terracotta warriors were inspired and made by Greeks. You really saw the worst of it during the first trump presidency when he had ppl like pompeo and Navarro in charge but now that China is much more self sufficient and powerful and now that the entire U.S. economy depends on Chinese food graces, you’ll see much less racism directed against China in an official capacity.

Trump says US to impose 100% tariff on movies made outside the country

Sept 29 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump said on Monday he would impose a 100% tariff on all films produced overseas that are then sent into the U.S., repeating a threat made in May that would upend Hollywood's global business model.

The step signals Trump's willingness to extend protectionist trade policies into cultural industries, raising uncertainty for studios that depend heavily on cross-border co-productions and international box-office revenue.

"Our movie making business has been stolen from the United States of America, by other Countries, just like stealing candy from a baby," Trump said in a post on his Truth Social.

However, it was not immediately clear what legal authority Trump would use to impose a 100% tariff on foreign-made films.

The White House did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment on how the tariffs would be implemented.

Top U.S. studios Warner Bros Discovery (WBD.O), Paramount Skydance (PSKY.O) and Netflix (NFLX.O) also did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Comcast (CMCSA.O) declined to comment.
"There is too much uncertainty, and this latest move raises more questions than answers," said PP Foresight analyst Paolo Pescatore.

"For now, as things stand, costs are likely to increase, and this will inevitably be passed on to consumers," he said.

The president had first floated the idea of a movie tariff in May but offered few details, leaving entertainment executives unsure whether it would apply to specific countries or all imports.

After the announcement in May, a coalition of American film unions and guilds sent a letter to Trump, urging him to support tax incentives for domestic film production in a reconciliation package being drafted in Congress, aiming to help return more movie and television projects to the U.S.
The U.S. film industry recorded a $15.3 billion trade surplus in 2023, backed by $22.6 billion in exports to international markets, according to the Motion Picture Association.

FROM AUSTRALIA TO CANADA

Studio executives told Reuters earlier this year that they were "flummoxed" by how a movie tariff might be enforced, given that modern films often use production, financing, post-production and visual effects spread across multiple countries.

Hollywood has increasingly relied on overseas production hubs such as Canada, the UK and Australia, where tax incentives have attracted big-budget shoots for films ranging from superhero blockbusters to streaming dramas.

At the same time, co-productions with foreign studios have become more common, particularly in Asia and Europe, where local partners provide financing, access to markets, and distribution networks.

Industry executives also warn that a broad tariff could affect the thousands of U.S. workers employed on overseas shoots, from visual effects artists to production crews, whose work is often coordinated across multiple countries.

, but this kind of crude belligerence coming from the highest levels of office is a new and depressing low.

If India actually achieved any semblance of a win in the air for Operation Sindoor, they could afford to be a bit more magnanimous. Now they have to use the cricket team's success to dress up their military failure.
