According to the Indians, the Transport Minister owns 18 farms used to make ethanol. India is increasing ethanol fuel blend to 20% at the end of 2025 and to 27% by 2030.

The funny thing is the Indian Gov save money by spending less on petroleum but none of it is passed down to consumers. Indians now get to enjoy using fuel on cars not rated for 20-27% ethanol while getting less fuel mileage.

The whole idea of using food for making fuel is problematic.

India sells food for money. It is a net food exporter, it is even one of the largest exporters of beef.

India processes food into fuel for driving cars in a country where less than 10% of the population owns cars.

The one thing India doesn't seem to use much food for is feeding Indians, who are at critical on the World Hunger Index.

I am surprised Indians tolerate this.

They can tolerate a caste system that says you and your family are garbage from the day you were born nothing you can do to change it even if you cure cancer.

So they can tolerate a lot of stuff. Well except taking actual accountability for their own actions. It's always someone one else's fault.
