WSJ is saying that China is holding a military parade to show off it's weapons and entice potential buyers. Apparently, China's national day parade to them is all about weapons only.

WSJ also says that while China's arms exports is growing, it still could not compete with the West in terms of quality. They are perhaps not living in Sept 2025. One of their analysts doesn't really want to accept the downing of the IAF Rafales by PAF J-10s. Copium...

I’d like to say that having their own century of humiliation will likely wake them up but then I realized that it is pretty hard to top the humiliation of being ruled by a scammer real estate mogul who enjoys LARPing as a tinpot third world dictator.

But but the Rafale is the most versatile fighter in the world. It has showcased the capability to perform kinetic interception of PL-15E under real battlefield conditions. Has any Chinese fighter been able to kinetically intercept an advanced BVRAAM in combat?

Only a true Supa Powa is rich enough to intercept 1 million dollar missiles with 200 million dollar jets. Pretty much boosted GDP by almost one billion dollars when the dust has settled.

Offend Japan? Modi has gotten his priorities wrong yet again. Who is more important for India's future? China or Japan? If Modi is as predicted, too afraid to embrace this truth, then nothing meaningful is gonna happen for India in the foreseeable future. Off course, India is only begining to build trust with China. But whose fault was that to destroy this trust? It wasn't China's fault, that's for sure.

It is my opinion that India will never truly fulfill any of it's potential as long as Modi and the same old elites are in charge. All this realignment with China is just theater for the Americans to watch and squirm for awhile. Then Modi will one day go to the US and capitulate. And then it's back to business as usual.
Japan has like 700,00 shortage of engineers in coming decade and much more in manual workers. and Japan is advance in enough in robotics and automotive electronics that should be sufficient for next couple of decades for India. Japan Toray still among the best in its field.

Are we going to be nice to SP20 now that there's the beginnings of a rapprochement?

I forgot if it was someone on this forum or Weibo comments section who mentioned that he had “a friend” who went to India and treated the lower caste porter very nicely and gave a very good tip. When they went to the hotel room, the porter not only did not respond gratefully but attempted to rape him! Luckily he is a gym bro and held off the attack before anything serious could happen. Basically, the porter was used to getting treated like dirt and when he got doted on for the first time in his life, he assumed that the Chinese man must be a male prostitute and even lower on the totem pole than he was.

I think that pretty much sums up the sort of mentality China is dealing with here.

I think I've heard that story as well from this guy 易克印象 on bilibili. He has a series of videos talking about his past experiences in India and the reality of things on the ground for lower castes in the north; it's absolutely fucked up if true.

It is. For those in the know the monitor lizard thing wasn’t even that bad compared to some of the truly horrendous things that happen on a regular basis.
