Stifle Huawei's share in the consumer sector. Or at least that's what David Sacks says is the reasoning for loosening the restrictions:

Just a profit motivated decision as usual. Can't let Huawei siphon away profits from the NVIDIA and AMD money trees.

IMO it was always an own-goal to attempt to divide the world into countries that could and couldn't buy chips from the U.S. It's rather funny how King TACO's staff were the one who realised it was a bad idea whereas the Biden administration kept going on with the plan no matter how short-sighted it was...even though King TACO is only doing it for profit as opposed to sound decision-making.
Let's check in on what Huang has to say about this:

Clearly this is a man who is in a critical shortage of leather jackets, wanting to sell more H20 is understandable then.

Sacks talking like a typical Western imperialist thinking the Chinese market belongs to the West and a Chinese company selling to China is some affront to Western ownership of China. I wonder if the US expects China to stop developing its own processors since the US is allowing the sale of lesser American ones to China.

Donald Trump asked Volodymyr Zelenskyy if Ukraine could hit Moscow, say people briefed on call

Donald Trump has privately encouraged Ukraine to step up deep strikes on Russian territory, even asking Volodymyr Zelenskyy whether he could strike Moscow if the US provided long-range weapons, according to people briefed on the discussions.

and his campaign promise to end US involvement in foreign conflicts.
The conversation with Zelenskyy on July 4 was precipitated by Trump’s call with Putin a day earlier, which the US president described as “bad”.
Two people familiar with the conversation between Trump and Zelenskyy said the US president had asked his Ukrainian counterpart whether he could hit military targets deep inside Russia if he provided weapons capable of doing so.
Volodymyr, can you hit Moscow? . . . Can you hit St Petersburg too?” Trump asked on the call, according to the people.
They said Zelenskyy replied: “Absolutely. We can if you give us the weapons.
Trump signalled his backing for the idea, describing the strategy as intended to “make them [Russians] feel the pain” and force the Kremlin to the negotiating table, said the two people briefed on the call.
A western official, who had been informed of the call, said the conversation reflected a growing desire among Ukraine’s western partners to supply long-range weapons capable of “bringing the war to Muscovites” — a sentiment echoed privately by American officials in recent weeks.

I thought it was because the Koreans started accusing Chinese of cultural appropriation and stealing Korean culture?

Speaking of the devil, or dogs, was watching this video yesterday.

Not my intention to cause an internet prison riot, but this was a neon sign I honestly can say I never saw in my life, and unlikely many posters have either.

At 2:30 of the video.

I have clearly explained several times. Arabic Soft Power need very deep knowledge and very advance wealthy society that can take advantage of it.

There's nothing particularly advanced about any of the Arab states, otherwise MBS wouldn't be pushing his Vision 2030 agenda. TBF, the House of Saud's desire to advance Saudi Arabia technologically and industrially is absolutely laudable, but it is also an implicit and clear acknowledgment of Arabic backwardness.

Some of the GCC member states are indeed quite wealthy on a per capita basis, but being treated like an ATM by an American administration led by a reality TV star turned populist demagogue named Donald Trump is not a display of soft power, or anything to brag about.

In fact, paying such exorbitant sums of protection money, or even fractions thereof, communicate weakness, as in severe inadequacies in hard power and a near total lack of soft power:

GCC has to manage large countries like India, Pakistan, Iran all the way to Turkey and African continent is right next door to them.
yes they are all managed. I will add Africa to it. create dependencies. wealth and human capital extracted. The word New Europe came from MBS. Europe was previously managing world.

Not sure how our Bharati Bhais would feel about your conclusion that Sunni royals from the Gulf 'manage' their nuclear armed country.

Though should the opportunity arise, I would definitely breakout the popcorn if you ever wish to broadcast such views to and engage in dialogue with the "eminently reasonable" hoi polloi of the Hindutva community, on X or wherever, concerning Arabic 'management' of Bharat.

Its understandable you still cannot understand this soft Power shaping the world.

They are learning from them. To built such a society from ground up it takes decades if not centuries. there is no short cuts.

That sounds like an unfinished job given that many, if not most of the Gulf sheikhdoms did not emerge as independent states until the 1960s, if not 1970s, and did not charge toward modernity until even later. The rest did not exactly enjoy much of a head start either.

I'm afraid you might have one or more Arabic sheikhdoms confused with the fictional country of Wakanda.

I encourage you to publish something analogous to

to teach the world about the unparalleled greatness and unrivaled influence of Arabic soft power:
