Honestly, I don’t get why some people here are so confident this U.S./Israel campaign against Iran is going to work, or that it benefits them in any
tangible way, barring media propaganda for domestic Westoids, that some here also fall for.
Unless this ends with total regime collapse, partition, or Iran being reduced to a non-factor in the region, which is extremely unlikely, it’s just going to turn into another massive resource and attention sink like Ukraine,
only possibly much worse.
By the way, they already tried that “collapse them instantly” flash plan with Russia in 2022, sanctions, isolation, and trying to topple Putin. Didn’t work.
Now the new version is “maybe Israeli-style shadow ops and targeted strikes will magically collapse Iran.” Same
delusional mindset, no real plan behind it.
“Iran will collapse in 24 hours.”
“Just kill a few commanders and the whole system falls.”
“No need for sacrifice, just air power and pressure.”
It’s the same arrogant fantasy. The idea that long-standing, deeply rooted states will just break from some flashy Westoid "superior" moves, no cost, no risk. It’s not serious thinking.
And let’s be real, this isn’t just about Iran. It’s about going after China’s allies before the big confrontation later this decade. Just like they used Ukraine to try and finish Russia and isolate China (and failed), now they want to knock out Iran to prevent it from causing problems during the China war.
But Iran isn’t folding. They’re firing back. Israel got hit hard and exposed, existentially threatened pretty quickly, and now the U.S. is being dragged in directly.
People also don’t seem to understand how China plays this game. They already bled the U.S. in Ukraine without sending a single weapon, just components, tech, economic, and quiet support. Now they’ll do the same with Iran. They don’t need to be public. Just keep Iran alive and draining U.S. resources.
And that’s all Iran needs: to survive. That’s their win condition. Absorb the hits, adapt, and come out stronger. And that’s already happening. The regime isn’t cracking.
No mass and separatist uprisings. No internal revolt. The “opposition” the West keeps pushing lives abroad has basically zero support, and cheers on the Israeli bombing of Iranian civilians. No one inside Iran takes them seriously. They couldn’t go back home without being hanged worse than Navalny.
The West has no serious alternative or plan. People are now more united behind the regime than they’ve been in years. Regime change doesn’t work unless you have someone to replace the regime, and Iran isn’t Libya or Iraq. There’s also no faction waiting to take over and cause chaos.
IRGC is still fully operational, and their new chain of command just helped pound Israel heavily for days. The clerical system is intact. This regime has decades of experience with war and pressure. They were just taken by surprise shortly, initially. Every assassination and airstrike just boosts public resolve.
So, unless the Collective West pulls off a miracle collapse (which they won’t), they’re walking into another long, pointless war of attrition.
And this time, the U.S. is even weaker than it was when it went into Iraq or Afghanistan (where they were also attrited and unsuccessful). Iran isn’t some third-world army either; they’ve got missiles, drones, and even hypersonics now. Iran doesn’t need to defeat them, just survive. And every month they hold, another step closer to the U.S. burning out before it even reaches China.
Honestly, I think the US will fold much, much faster than it did in Afghanistan. And every resource spent here is a waste; the U.S. doesn’t have much left to waste. Trump will soon beg for a ceasefire just like in Yemen.
I swear, some people on this forum have the memory of a goldfish. The U.S. is using the exact same playbook it used against the Houthis in Yemen, and it failed there, too. And the Houthis are basically Iran’s baby brother.
So what makes anyone think it’ll work on Iran, a far stronger and more unified state?
“No boots on the ground, just airstrikes, air superiority will work like magic.”
How many times does that have to fail before people realize air power alone doesn’t bring down hardened regimes? And no one’s dumb enough to actually invade Iran now; they’d get chewed up instantly. So what’s left? Just bombing and praying for regime collapse, wasting precious focus and resources you don't have? Good luck with that.
They’re acting like they’re an industrial hyperpower like China, when in reality, their military corporations are more focused on stock buybacks than actually producing weapons or securing supply chains.
