I don't know why people keep looking at this as China helping Iran. China isn't in the business to hand out charities, it would intervene in Iran for its own benefit. Iran would benefit too, but they'll have to pay for it as I listed already in my previous posts. The deal can work because in that case the interests would align. If they don't then China won't intervene, as it hasn't at least not overtly.

Just to repeat my reasoning for Chinese intervention. In the event of AR, the expected Western response is a blockade far from Chinese shores in the IOR. China does not have the expeditionary force to contest this effectively, it will need to rely on land links to help "port hop" its way west, and Iran would be a key part of it. Now, do you think it's easier to do this now or wait until US troops are entrenched in Iran with the backing of a puppet government?

That is why China should relocation some H-6 bombers in Pakistan. These bombers have missiles that can destroy US naval assets in the region.

Best case scenario would be for the current regime to barely hang on throughout the conflict, and shortly afterward be replaced afterwards by a new secular, nationalist, pragmatic, and anti-imperialist regime with strong domestic support. Wouldn't count on it though.
Current regime is functionally a democracy so within the framework of the regime, the most likely outcome is that the reform party is 100% discredited and the new opposition to the conservatives will disagree with them only in domestic policy and how exactly to be hardline.

They sure got really cozy with Modhi's India, ignoring the growing relationship between India Intelligence agencies and the Mossad. And that backfired spectacularly with all the Mossad operations in the country.

Iran and India always enjoyed relatively good relations and economic cooperation. India's involvement with Chabahar port predates BRI. India is a major purchaser of Iranian oil, and India has generally opposed sanctions on Iran.

India is a perpetrator of foreign interference, Canadian intelligence agency says

TORONTO, June 18 (Reuters) - India is a perpetrator of foreign interference, Canada's intelligence agency said in a report published on Wednesday, just after India's and Canada's prime ministers vowed to strengthen ties at a global summit hosted by Canada.

Iran just has bad foreign policy from the start to finish, from the moment it's born to this very moment. It rushes forward to declare to Israel, United States, Soviet Union and Sunni Arab states as enemies and made no friends.
The situation they are in are their own doing.

In their mind, the only people cool enough for them to appreciate are the Western European, who are unenthuiastic US lackeys and the most you can expect is dragging their feet before eventually toeing the US line. The secularists espacially see themselves as temporarily embarassed westerners.
Current Iran certainly has poor understanding of reality but it was not that bad thats why Russia put up for so long with it.
Soviet Union during Gorbachev time had improved relations with Iran. so much that founder of Iranian revolution wrote a letter to him. I will not put the thinking of real muslims in Russia about this letter;

Russia has done so much for current Iran that cannot be quantified . start from Russia backing of northern alliance which has shia hazara in Afghanistan and If Russia had sided with Saudis from beginning i doubt Iran borders would have survived and the map of many countries changed. that will be more in line with creating an Arabic empire.
Current Iran has publicly denied supplying ballistic missile to Russia. it does not matter whether it is delivered or not but why it has to comment on it to make its denial known. Iran is not even capable of recognizing Crimea despite signing strategic partnership with Russia. Crimea is a red line of relations because it is the first success story of transforming a region using external Soft Power.

"In the letter, Khomeini declared that communism was dissolving within the Soviet bloc,[4][5] and invited Gorbachev to consider Islam as an alternative to communist ideology."

I guess the conspiracy theorists were right about May 7th being a probe attack against Pakistan. Their end goal is to denuclearize any Islamic country. From a geopolitical standpoint it makes sense given how international perception, especially of American Gen Z, have soured post October 7th.

They're starting to get a little overconfident, I'd say. I wouldn't take a chance against a country that has 170 warheads and ability to deliver them...I guess J35 rumors might not just be rumors. Maybe China is in fact fast tracking deliveries for Pakistan.
