You have to understand, their hatred of the KMT and by association China is far greater than any other position or ideology. The thing about Trump is that he actually isn’t as extreme as the people around him. He isn’t as much of a China hawk as most of his admin. He isn’t as racist as his supporters (he’s literally a New York socialite!). He isn’t really that against progressive things like abortion or Medicare. He pays lip service to Israel but doesn’t actually like them as much as say, Chuck Schumer or the republicans in congress.
Ironically I think his personal beliefs are pretty middle of the road. He’s just really freaking stupid.
