What the Qing did to the Mongol problem once and for all? I thought Mongol problems were sorted entirely by the Ming ?

The Qing dynasty split up Mongolian tribes using religion, politics, and land divisions. This is why we have 'Inner Mongolia' (Nei Menggu) and 'Outer Mongolia' today.

Idk if this is news, but r/LCD had a great post from I_H8_Y8s summarizing most of the major PLA 2024 milestones.

Great write-up.

With verbiage like:
It therefore behoves the PLAAF to expedite the legacy fleet's relegation to second-line duties, PTAI, or outright mothballing.

Whoever wrote this is either an intelligence analyst who've spent time in Uncle Sam's service or pretending to be*.

"Normal civilians" and "casual" PLA watchers do not write like this.

* There is nevertheless the possibility that the author is of another category, but has consumed so much DoD and DoD sponsored or enabled reporting and analysis, that he've picked up "their style" of prose.
