Taiwanese soldiers guarding president’s office were spying for China

Four Taiwanese soldiers have been jailed for passing information to China in a case that analysts say shows the extent of Beijing’s infiltration of Taipei.
Finding out that several of your presidential guards are actually spies is like seeing a cockroach out in the open in broad daylight. You then know that the infestation is really bad.

I mean what exactly are these people from Taiwan gonna die for? There's no communist boogeyman to take their money anymore since the richest people from Taiwan itself spend half the time travelling back and forth to China for business deals. Lets no forget all those "loyal" engineers who went to China for higher salaries.

They can't claim they care about freedom or democrazy because they only elected a non-KMT party in 2000. They were literally under martial law until then and didn't seem to mind it that much otherwise they would of kept rebelling until the KMT went away.

So again what are Taiwanese going to die for?

Should not have taken 4 slaps to resolve. Should have been at most 2.

Sociopolitical rectification in HongKong is quite clearly incomplete. The central government needs to actively manage the situation, not just behave in an "all is quiet, crisis averted" manner.
It is likely that preparations for the probe and other background work started much earlier, with the initial public announcement by CKH / Blackrock and the '4 slaps' being the few publicly visible events that transpired during the process.

It's a moot point, because in a feudal slave society aka democracy, the people doing the dying has no say in the matter, and the people with says in the matter aren't the ones dying. I mean just look at Ukraine.

No wonder I'm seeing all these infantile patriotic tech bros popping up lately. Palantir is probably a scam company. If Palantir was using artificial intelligence, should it have been the first and best one before any one we hear on the news lately since they were saying they using it long before anyone else? We're probably going to find out that it's like Amazon artificial intelligence. It's just a bunch of workers outsourced to India doing everything analog. Palantir didn't predict Oct. 7th and the spastic nerd energy CEO Alex Karp said last year China didn't have software right before DeepSeek was unveiled.

Not good for Anduril and other American companies that specifically made drones for war and were rejected by Ukrainians for commercial DJI drones instead. Still can't make a better drone than China.

Ever seen The Drone Ultimatum podcast YouTube channel? A lot of these right-wing tech bros starting defense companies being shown off there. They just had a guy promoting his laser defense system against drones equating his lasers to what you see in science fiction. Basically if any weapon is relegated to playing a CIWS role, it's a last rung on the ladder defense weapon if everything else doesn't work. If your laser ain't powerful enough to shootdown a fast moving fighter at long distance instantly, there's nothing to brag about. That's why CIWS laser systems are mainly to counter slow short range moving targets. A few weeks before there was a middle-aged defense expert on this podcast that said lasers are overhyped.

Don’t forgot. They want to fight an war under the crust of the earth.

The newcomers’ hope is that the Pentagon will eventually kill off what Luckey calls “old legacy zombie programs,” like expensive jet fighters and attack helicopters, and instead buy autonomous weapons, like drones and uncrewed submarines.
“The next warfighting domain is the subterranean domain,” Palmer said. “I’m talking about the full three-dimensional volume of at least the upper crust of the planet as a place that you can move through and fight in.”
