It actually makes me wonder about the entirety of indian culture; a caste system of loquacious bullshitters who get people indoctrinated into a cult that worships them and their offspring as "brahmins". Millenia of inbreeding and selective breeding creates a class of people who are adapted for bullshitting and backstabbing and cheating others including opportunistic rapes.

I have seen a lot of characterization on x of folks commenting that Deepseek r1 is the first "weapons grade" open weight LLM AI model...
Deepseek would never have been able to release R1 into the wild if the Chinese gov objected or forbid it. And I dont believe for one moment that Chinese gov didnt know it was going to be released.
Plus the timing, on Trump's inauguration date, was likely by no coincidence.
DS had also a few weeks prior, when releasing Ds v3 accompanied by the technical paper, made it well known that its training cost was only around 5 million.... (Facebook spent 10 billion back in July for the 405b Llama 3 that has now been overshadowed by both DS v3 and R1)
I also dont believe this was by coincidence.
Lastly I think Deepseek is already working on an o3 competitor... and most likely will release it on the same cadence as OpenAI....
