Egypt is not obliged to disclose anything related to Russian arms trade as Egypt has that trade and tourist relations with Europe and this whole Russian business in Africa will be against Europe.

I don't know if TikTok is setup to do so but if it's a react native app they can switch to direct JavaScript updates.

Because US president (whoever that is) can not afford to shutter a popular service among American youths? Nowadays we should look more on the American side for reasons of oddity than elsewhere.

I see that you joined this forum just few months ago, so you may have missed the news about China made a law that forbid exporting any high tech algorithm without government approval. This law was made shortly after US demanded Bytedance sell of TikTok. So there should be no question about "barred from selling". Now there are two domestic laws here, Chinese law forbide the sell, US law doesn't get the sell for more than a year, and US government has to let TikTok keep on operating.

The bottom line is that China is alright to see TikTok banned in US (democracy censorship, tyranny, hypocrisy etc.) for PR purpose. The US on the other hand either is seen as a tyrant for banning or a chicken for not banning. This is how "hyper pressure" from Trump and "position of strength" from Biden work for US, they only work until called bluff. US forced itself into a corner.
