You're calling for WWIII. The use of force should not be invoke so cavalierly especially in the case of China. I don't know if you're Chinese or have Chinese blood but you ought to know the level of bloodshed the Chinese people have paid for in both blood and treasure during its fight during the turbulent times from the downfall of the Qing Dynasty all the way to its war against the blood thirsty scums of Imperial Japan.

Chinese leadership is fully aware that if and when the use of force is use, especially against the U.S. primacy it'll have to end up in victory nothing else matters.

You're mindset and approach to this situation has been severely affected by the downfall of Assad and the appearance of an American/Israel victory which suggests to me that you're from that region or a westerner that's in a political wilderness or refugee -- lost faith in your own country's political system.
They had a many other options to preserve that did not involve fighting the US. They could have supplied weapons and advisors like Russia and Iran did. At least these two went down trying. China got checkmated while day dreaming. This is a matter of fact. This ignorance and disregard for foreign policy will cost more Chinese lives than it would ever have if China had intervened. The more countries the US takes down, the closer they get to isolating China. The Chinese strategy of trying to make friends through trade alone is bound to fail. All the US has to do is overthrow democratically elected leaders one after the other, install puppets and have them block trade and development with China like we see happening right now. They install terrorists all over the world and kill Chinese civilians all around the world and all China does is cry to the UN security council about it. When will this stop? When will China realize that trade alone does not guarantee it's economic and financial security? Even Brian Berletic was talking about how China is good at protecting it's own information space, but doesn't do much for their allies information space, which eventually gets their allies to lose their pro China leaders by fomenting hate towards China. Maybe tone it down on churning out 052Ds and 075s and do something useful with that money, such as what I mentioned above. All these ships are concentrated around China and they need to at least spread them around the world to complicate matters for their enemies.

While that's correct with regards to the fall of Assad, China also doesn't help disable US sanctions against North Korea or Iran (or Syria) like it does with Russia now. Governments of anti western countries fall because of poor economies that result from a lack of access to western markets because of sanctions and China obeying the sanctions as well. Instead of investing in countries that the US hates, China avoids them and dumps billions in Africa, which will never be repaid, and in Pakistan, which is a failed state in which terrorists keep murdering Chinese people.

Just a tiny fraction of the Pakistan investments could have been transformative for Syria. The Syrian army might have fought if they had a reconstructed country to fight for. The Baath party is even nominally socialist

China should use its investments as a foreign policy tool, not just looking for immediate commercial profits. Keeping a friendly government in power is also a positive outcome of an investment. But obviously sending soldiers would never happen
Iran and North Korea are responsible for there own economic incompetence and i dont think China can do much more about it.
Russia imports from China even if you add the indirect is merely $130b. and than compare the actual size of Russian economy (scale of Russian tourists to Turkey alone) and its integration with Gulf Arabs/Israel. People underestimate Israel (global wealth/tech)/ Gulf Arabs(aviation/wealth hubs) and over estimate China economy. . Syria was bleeding it human capital to the region and Europe. Istanbul is aviation hub of the world. how you came to this conclusion that China can restructure Syria so much that it can compete with these countries?.

That number seems way too low, maybe this statistic doesn't capture the full picture or China has another already written down some investments.
That stats was announced in 2023 for the tally by the end of 2022. How could the Chinese government have written down some investments if you think there are losses in 2024?

Pretty interesting video showing the on the ground situation in Syria by a Chinese civilian, and the aftermath of Syria's military after Israeli bombings.

I meant that there were already losses there in Chinese investment prior to 2023. I heard China was already pulling investment out of Syria before 2024.

A lot of Americans see things like marvel movies where there is a clear good guy and bad guy.

Even if were the case, things are not that simple.

Trump likes Strongmen personality types like Putin and Xi because they are like him. He openly says it. They come from a older generation. They don't pretend to be about some liberal utopia. It's not hard to see they want to win and don't hide it. Trump respects people like that over many "liberal" leaders today like Trudeau or Macron who say all this worthless crap but are disingenuous behind it. Or worse someone like Zelensky who is a real slimeball.

So hearing all these Americans shocked Trump invites Xi just shows they don't pay attention.

Do that include investment by China state companies like the money that Sinopec Invested to rebuild Syria oil fields.

That number seems way too low, maybe this statistic doesn't capture the full picture or China has another
According to data from China's Ministry of Commerce, as of the end of 2022, the total direct investment stock of Chinese companies in Syria was US$13.24 million. Until other authoritative data is available, this is the most accurate data.

Its a trap, Trump might want to arrest Xi
I don't think so, but I believe he would not hesitate to shoot down the Iranian leader's plane. In addition, Putin also needs to be careful whether he will be arrested by US vassal states.

The Japanese have indeed envisioned similar conspiracies.

——A stupid manga.
The red circle is the name of the manga(今、そこにある戦争).
I haven't finished reading it. Based on the comments from Japanese readers, the author gave a very hasty ending.
Someone has complained that Japanese people always like to showcase their extremely childish values, we call it a "political exhibitionism".

The beginning of the story is that Japan achieved full armament at the cost of overdrawn finances and rebuilt the secret police system. In order to escape the imminent financial bankruptcy, Japan and the US joined forces to create an excuse for launching a war against China.
At this time, China's internal situation is also very bad, and the leadership also hopes to get rid of the crisis. They also place their hopes on war. The part about China is not detailed because it involves many stereotypes of China in Japan. You can understand it as Japan on February 26, 1936.

Chinese leaders invited to Japan for negotiations. But the Americans landed on the Diaoyu Island through the submarine secret transport special forces to break through the blockade.
When the leader arrived, the Americans started. They put up the Chinese flag on the Diaoyu Islands and shot down the Japanese plane.
The Japanese immediately detained him and seized the nuclear code.

To be honest, the author is not strictly a right-wing lunatic, as the protagonist he creates in the story is a small civil servant who discovers through investigation that the country's finances have dried up. In the manga, he also used satirical techniques to depict the scene of Japan using modern media and entertainment stars for military mobilization propaganda.
The author clearly opposes spending huge amounts on military construction. He is well aware that Japan's fragile economy cannot support larger military expansion plans, but he is also overly confident in Japan's technological strength.
But you can intuitively feel the author's hostility towards China. In the manga, his enemies are completely defeated by Japan's powerful space weapons, the capital has also turned into ruins.

When I first arrived at this forum, I mentioned this comic and mocked the author for having no understanding of how nuclear weapons are used. Nuclear weapons will not become ineffective due to enemy decapitation operations.

I believe such people would really think that arresting Putin would make Russia surrender.
But reality is magical, it's hard to say whether countries that obey US orders will actually arrest Putin who went to visit. The intelligence of Western leaders has dropped to the same level as this cartoonist.

Will he personally attend? Maybe they can talk abt a basic deal?
Considering Trump's arrogant attitude in the previous term, any friendly behavior would be seen by him as a weak attitude that can be extorted.
Especially his vicious racist attack during the COVID-19 pandemic, I don't think our leaders will go there to accept his humiliation.
