On the other hand, India, South Africa and Brazil do not fully share China's ambitions. They favour reforming the existing global system rather than dismantling it. They aim for a multipolar world where they can balance relations between the US and China, without fully aligning with either.

The Indian author is making up a fantasy world that literally doesn’t exist. China and Russia have been on the front with the multipolar reforms on the global system. Not the Indians. Trying to blame China as a scapegoat for the US dismantling the global system by weaponizing the dollar.

I think Modi sent a memo out telling Indians to say and act like India is the reason why anything good happens in the world. They were hesitant to join BRICS and and now they act like they're the only reason why it exists. Countries of the Global South don't want to join BRICS because India is a member. China is the true alternative from the West. India is not. Some say Russia has trillions of dollars worth in natural resources. What does India have? The only hope the West sees in India is of the potential billion people market to sell to as an alternative to China. You really think they want India inventing things they don't have...? It goes against the notion of white supremacy.

Just as long India doesn't have any overriding veto in BRICS, then they can be ignored.

You know I thought it was a bit annoying having so many posts on India and giving them undeserved attention.
But the truth is they can't be ignored.

Its not really because they are one of the largest economies. They still have a long way to go before being able to leverage its power.

Its because they can't help themselves but keep putting themselves in the spotlight. They keep talking about biding your time, playing smart geopolitics, making the right objective moves etc. But if you look at their actual actions, it seems like the complete opposite. Like they are picking fights and exposing their real fascists views before they have even took off. I don't know if this is intentional or do they really lack the self-awareness.

Maybe China should just sit back and work on its defense while India continues to make more enemies. Hell maybe it might even buy China a few more years since all the anger from the normal citizens turns towards India first to the dismay of the elites.

As I said earlier, we need a no-Indias club. All global south members are allowed....except India.

EU Readies US Trade Targets If Election Brings Trump Tariffs

  • The bloc wants to avoid a new trade conflict with the US
  • But it will be ready to respond if Trump acts on threats
The European Union has prepared a list of American goods it could target with tariffs if former President Donald Trump wins the US election and follows through on his threat to hit the bloc with punitive trade measures.

New levies against US firms aren’t a base case for the EU and will only be used to retaliate against a move by the White House, according to people familiar with the bloc’s thinking.

The EU’s favored approach would be to seek an agreement with Trump on some areas of common interest such as China, said one of the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Trump caught the EU by surprise in 2018 when he hit European steel and aluminum exports with tariffs. In that instance, the bloc targeted politically sensitive companies with retaliatory duties, including Harley-Davidson Inc. motorcycles and Levi Strauss & Co. jeans. Since Trump’s win in 2016, the EU has adopted several trade defense tools, including an

to respond to economic coercion.

“To me, the most beautiful word in the dictionary is ‘tariffs,’ Trump said Tuesday in an interview with Bloomberg News Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait. “It’s my favorite word.”
Trump has said that as president, he would target countries like China with tariffs anywhere from 60% to 100%, with a 10% across-the-board tariff on imports from other countries. He could also impose counter-measures against European digital services taxes that implicitly go after US technology champions.

“Our allies have taken advantage of us. More so than our enemies,” Trump said. “Our allies are the European Union. We have a trade deficit of $300 billion with the European Union.”

EU: Threaten to start a trade war with US after already starting a trade war with China. What could go wrong ;)

Btw since India is so smart and keeps whining how China is stopping them from running BRICS, maybe they should lead first and create their own version of the Global South without China to show us how its done?

This is something that really pisses a lot off about India. Have you noticed they are usually never there at the forefront to take the proactive initiative when things are not certain and there's risk of failure? Yet once something is established, they are the first be its clout chaser and claim credit for it. This is exactly how they act in the workplace its no wonder all the technology firms stagnate under them. Who wants to even try when these guys will just steal credit for it.

China has been mocked many times in the past and proved its doubters wrong so badly, they changed the history books to pretend they never mocked China. China takes risk while India never takes any but is the first to claim credit.

The USA has always had their own nuclear blowups happen at the same scale as Chernobyl. They just hid theirs better.

Cleanup efforts by the U.S. government during the 1960s supposedly reduced it to safe levels. Today, the region welcomes many hikers and outdoor enthusiasts who embark on its trails.

“What I found here in Acid Canyon is pretty much the most extreme plutonium contamination scenario . . . in an off-site, uncontrolled environmental setting that I’ve ever seen in my career,” Ketterer told the

India following readily in big brother's example:

“There’s a high court order that says there should be a proper wall around the factory. You’ve got a major toxic hotspot right in the middle of a city — one of the so-called cleanest cities in the country. But despite the court orders, the government just doesn’t seem to care,”

“Over the years, all kinds of pollutants have been found in the water — like organochlorines, dichlorobenzene, trichlorobenzene, hexachloride, and heavy metals like mercury, lead, chromium, and nickel. There are also pesticides in the mix.”

this one is more informative. I think US will fall behind Western EU in life expectancy. just too much unhealthy stuff.
