rumour on TikTok is that the saudis and Iranians are on the verge of hammering out an anti Israeli alliance, despite this being downplayed by Anglo media, for eg, Reuters nervously eyeing these events

I would not take this rumour seriously, because Saudi Arabia is still too deep in the Western camp to readily become an partner in the Axis of Resistance. SA needed a constant stream of military supplies from the US for them to wage their war on Yemen. Furthermore, Uncle Sam could shutdown SA's military and allow Israel to punish them badly. SA's military is not a force to be feared. They have been humiliated by sandal-wearing Houthis. So against the Israeli military and without Uncle Sam's support, they are not gonna last long.

We cannot expect too much from SA. They are fat and comfortable with their ongoing energy business, and with the way the world revolves around them. If they were serious about Palestine, they would have funded Mujahedeens to fight there, just like what they did with Syria, Chechnya, and Afghanistan. A few moves here and there with the currency thing, and BRICS changes little. There is practically no self-interest for them to risk their necks for Iran or the Palestinians.

Oh that reminds of r/Nepal being really mad at the Dalai Lama for saying Buddha is Indian when he is actually Nepalese because it's hurts Nepalese tourism aka the only industry they have other than sending their "Super Soldiers" to die for other countries.
Just remember to remind Indians that their country is actually younger than Pakistan by one day.

It kinda makes sense all it's neighbours are beginning to hate it now. After all "India" never had any real experience having to deal with them since before the Brits came, it was just a collection of kingdoms. Nepal would just deal with the guys up north and Sri Lanka would just deal with the guys down south. Yet now both of them have to deal with some merchant Gurjat from the west.

The terrority borders for China on the other hand are very similar to Qing so it's not like they have any new neighbors they never dealt with before. That's the difference.

Indonesia bans Temu over fears Chinese shopping giant will ‘destroy’ local SMEs

Indonesian authorities say allowing Temu to operate will result in cheap goods flooding the country and squeezing out small traders

Indonesia has banned Chinese online marketplace giant Temu to protect its micro, small and medium-sized enterprises from getting “destroyed” and prevent cheap products from flooding the country.

Temu, owned by PDD Holdings, directly connects factories in China with consumers in more than 50 countries, such as Malaysia, Thailand and the United States.

Indonesian authorities have said the platform’s business model eliminates local stakeholders like resellers and shippers in the supply chain, allowing overseas companies to keep prices low that could squeeze small traders in Indonesia.

“No, Temu cannot enter because it damages the economy, especially Indonesian micro, small and medium enterprises [SMEs]. We will not give it a chance,” Minister of Communications and Informatics Budi Arie Setiadi said last week.

Budi said Indonesia’s digital space needed to be filled with things that “make society more productive and profitable”.

“If it is detrimental, what’s the point? We will ban it. Our micro, small and medium enterprises will be destroyed if left unchecked.”
Classic trade protectionism by Indonesia. The country had also blocked Yahoo, Paypal, and Amazon before. But SCMP loves to present things from an anti-China perspective. Indonesia's e-commerce, supply chain, and retailers are not as developed as Thailand, Malaysia, or Singapore. So there is irrational fear of the more efficient competitors from China. Other than that, Indonesia has not done anything else that is outright provocative against China, unlike the Philippines.

Classic trade protectionism by Indonesia. But SCMP loves to present things from a "China gloom" perspective. Indonesia's e-commerce, supply chain, and retailers are not as developed as Thailand, Malaysia, or Singapore. So there is always gonna be irrational fear of the more efficient competition from China. Other than that, Indonesia has not done anything that is outright provocative against China, on the scale of the PH and Vietnam.

Indonesia is among the late comers in the ASEAN economic miracle. Hearing from the people who do business there, Indonesia holds much promise, but we should not expect explosive growth like in East Asia. Despite the new HSR, the overall infrastructure around the nation is still very poor. Rule of law is still poor, and ease of doing business is still quite difficult. Trust and integrity for business is still poor compared to Thailand, and Singapore. So Indonesia is closer to Malaysia than Vietnam in terms of development potential, but still better than the PH and India because they lack stupid arrogance. For now at least.
Uneven growth and prosperity, typical of an Archipelagic country. Indonesia and the Philippine mirror each other except that Indonesia had the potential to grow faster due to having a larger population and also of being a muslim country. I may offend some of our Indonesian Chinese members BUT its true, Islam is what hold the country together. There may be trouble in Irian Jaya BUT the native population is tiny compare to the rest of the country and also the Indonesian will fight tooth and nail cause compare to Timor, Irian Jaya is rich in resources.

The highlight of the article:

"Unlike China, India lacks the bargaining chips it can draw upon in areas such as funding, infrastructure technology, military support and natural resources," said Ryohei Kasai, a visiting associate professor at the Center for South Asian Studies at Gifu Women's University. "It is clear to its neighbors that India's means are limited, and it is merely engaging in 'lip service diplomacy.'"

Is that comment meant as a good thing or the opposite? I haven't have the chance to visit Vancouver for a longer stay, other than transiting from their airport on my way back to Asia.
You see effect of Chinese migrant improving economy. Things are less toxic both mentally and biologically than in Toronto. We actually have a reasonable public transportation. You can see development progress every year instead of eternal rot. I say this as someone lived in both place for over 7 years each.

Well Brahmin mentality has always been you give me what I want because I'm a brahmin and therefore deserve it. People lower than me do not have the right to refuse and should be honored I am even talking to them.

Its kinda showing up when you think about it. India just has no clue how to act properly especially as a large country since it doesn't really have that experience. The Raj had the Brits making the decisions.

As I have previously mentioned, China at the very least has 300 years of experience to work from thanks to just looking up whatever Qing did .

Why Democrats are superior to the SeeSeePee — SeeSeePee only pays 50 cents per post supporting the PRC but Dems can shell out 15,000 dollars per video!

So rich, so much social media influence.

They have perfected these sort of activities and maligned influence in countries like the Philippines since forever. The social media influencers in that country have been bought and corrupted by Marcos Jr. admin to mask and hide his massive incompetence, not to mention blatant corruption by buying literally seating candidates with their people's money. While offering government hand outs to would be voters as if the masses of impoverished Pinoys are on some sort of a game show like the price is right!!

What these political operatives from both DemocRATS and RepubliCUNTS are their way of bringing home their well-honed practice that works in their vassals like the Philippines. Since Americans are increasingly becoming dumber and emotionally immature bunch of people that have become impervious and allergic to rationale discussion.
