US is projecting a pyschological takeover because they know in all the metrics that count, China has already overtaken or will soon overtake US and rest of the West.

The U.S. economy being better than it ever has been before doesn’t preclude many people doing poorly and/or expectations/desires expanding faster than economic growth. The random jumpiness from obscure survey data to other obscure survey data to prove America is actually collapsing^TM is certainly not it.

China generally not being on the technological frontier (but the U.S. generally being on the technological frontier? and poorer than the United States might as well be tautological for now.

Back in High School our principle was debating me why US better than China, and he said at least in America we have cars. This was 2003. If he still alive today I wonder what he is thinking lol
