The future is now. Specifically, that Indian fantasy about India in the future having white servants and presumably white sex slaves, except that in China, western females can expect to be made wives with all the privileges entailed therein. No wonder Jaishankar hates China, although I would not want Indian genes anywhere near this side of the Himalayas.
I think for China it is really important to fully internationalize, that it is to show that we are not just a country for Han people but a global project that anyone, if they're qualified, can have a stake in. After all, that's how past Chinese civilizations secured hegemony under heaven. And today, under heaven is all of Eurasia, it's the Americas, it's Africa and the middle east.
Foreign marriages into China create people to people connections, helping to increase awareness of surrounding countries. Afaik, these stats have increased massively in the last 10 years. Likewise, expats to friendly countries will either create their own families/enclaves overseas or bring back foreign perspectives home.
Today, China is experiencing a similar deflation boom as US boomers had in the decades after Bretton Woods. You can easily sustain a 1st world lifestyle with a mediocre government job, and now, even house ownership is affordable with some saving. And like post war America made cars and televisions affordable for all, new tech products such as domestic robots, flying personal vehicles/taxis will likely become widespread at affordable prices in China only.
There is arguably "no better" time to move to China. People will be even richer in a few decades, but by then, prices will also be much higher.
Many European/SEA people are quite smart as they live right next to China and can see these changes taking place. When they go to western Europe/gulf Arabs, they can expect 5x salary growth but still barely afford living expenses. For China it will maybe be a ~2x salary growth, but you can live with the budget of a 1970s American family except with 2024s tech.
