I truly feel like the reasons for which China does not respond forcefully to India are:

1. China doesn't feel that India's current power is a threat and that this issue could be resolved at any time with military power at China's convenience if necessary, no matter how far India had advanced.

2. More importantly, now is not a convenient time. If China pulls its resources to face India, the US under Trump might take the opportunity to attack North Korea and make massive gains before China can react to stop it. US gains in North Korea will be very very difficult to reverse, so the game is to advance in North Korea immediately and as far as possible to secure territory if shit hits the fan so the US never gains (much). Time would be of the essence so those troops must be close and ready while tensions are high, and not the length of the country away.

The reasons for which China is holding back are NOT:

1. Someone might help India fight.

2. India's such a power with its "nukes." LOL

India should not expect China to compromise

Ever since India sent its troops across the Sikkim section of the border into Donglang area of China on June 18, sparking a tense face-off between soldiers of the two countries, no progress has been made in dissolving the tensions.

One of the arguments that India has used to justify its troops illegally crossing the delimited Sikkim section of the China-India boundary, which is mutually recognized by the two sides, is that it claims the area where China is constructing a road belongs to Bhutan, with whom it has a friendship treaty.

However, although the boundary is yet to be demarcated officially, China and Bhutan have a basic consensus on the boundary alignment, and China has been strictly observing this. Its road building activities do not breach any agreement with the country or undermine the status quo.

Indeed, it is India that is making an issue of Donglang, so as to hold back the China-Bhutan boundary negotiations. And it is the illegal crossing of Indian troops into China’s territory that has changed the status quo.

Another of India's arguments is that the Chinese road construction carries "serious security implications" for it. India fears that if China completes the road, it could facilitate a possible Chinese attack on the narrow strip of land that connects India’s northeast states with its mainland.

This is ridiculous. And no country can pursue its security at the cost of another country's sovereignty.

And since, India, the United States and Japan have begun their 10-day Malabar naval exercises in the Bay of Bengal, which are the biggest of their kind so far, and the US approved a $365-million sale of military transport aircraft to India last week and a $2-billion deal for surveillance drones is in the works, it is China that should feel the “security concerns”, given the importance of the Indian Ocean for its trade and oil imports.

So far, China has exercised the utmost restraint and sought to achieve a peaceful solution through diplomatic means, but New Delhi should realize Beijing will not make any compromises when it comes to its territorial integrity.

India should withdraw all of its troops that have crossed the delimited boundary back to its own side, a move that is essentially different from the previous stand-offs between the border troops of the two countries in undefined areas. This has undermined the political basis for bilateral relations.

India should respect the provisions in the boundary convention, before the situation deteriorates and leads to serious consequences.

Looks like israel people are actually pretty anti-China.
Judging by their comments on Indian website.

China needs to cut off business tie with Israel. It supplies large number of military hardwares to India.

Keep Israel out of China Market.

China got to be as strong as it is today by calculating all its moves and NOT overreacting. Who wrote that post? Former officer's opinions are not Israel's official position, nor is it an advisory piece signed by a group of officers. What is Israel's official stance? Did Israel do anything that actually helps India? As far as I know, Israel has actually helped out China's technology.

Attempting to economically sanction a country because 1 former officer made an online post is just lunacy.

Nope, don't get it. You mean hitting Israel like China's hitting Korea because of what 1 person who does not represent Israel's government, said? And if, somehow, that caused Israel to come to China and ask why they are doing this and how to get it to stop, what would be your demand? Staple shut the mouth of that 1 private citizen who made an offensive online post? LOL Throw him in jail? Take away his internet access? LOL You have to keep in mind that private citizens can post whatever they want to but Israels' official government has aided China's technology.

There's something that I don't think you understand and that's that economic tactics are weaker and weaker as they are used. If you restrict trade with 1 country, like SK, you can hurt them. If you repeat that with many countries, you hurt and isolate yourself. The US sells weapons to Taiwan; does China cut off trade with the US? If China cut off business with every country that had expressed an ugly opinion towards China or did business with someone that China did not like, China would be the new hermit kingdom.

The strategy that has carried China to such power has always been to (mostly) separate business and politics and use that business to grow stronger and stronger by using the money to build a massive economy that can sustain a great military. This will lift China to become a country like the US. Doing anything to hurt that economy out of rage will cause a downward spiral and cause China to become a country like Russia: lack of funding, great ambitions, many enemies. (Don't mean to talk shit about Russia; love them.)

China doesn't want to be the ones to fire the first shot, and that does limit is options.

Currently I think China is playing for time as it has more important matters to deal with regarding Korea and the G20.

Firstly, it does not want to have to deploy resources to the Indian boarder when it might need them in Korea if Trump does anything stupid.

The Indians are no match for China militarily, but China cannot afford to take them lightly either.

A boarder war with India will require the PLA to deploy not insignificant proportions of its Air Force and air defence assets to ensure victory.

Secondly and more importantly, as a principle, China does not believe in going to war half heartedly.

Unlike some countries, shooting off some cruise missiles is not considered an effective or appropriate military response.

When it comes to direct military engagements, the general trend the PLA has set is they either go big or they don't bother.

China has a well documented history of showing extreme patience and restraint in not using military force when it might have a valid excuse to do so. But if someone is stupid enough to push China into taking military action, they PLA tend to ensure its response is harsh enough to not be forgotten in a hurry.

It was over 50 years since China had to last teach this lesson to India.

I am sure China does not wish to have to give another lesson just yet. However, it also knows that what India has done so far does not yet warrant the kind of military response it feels is worthwhile to endure the inevitable western biased condemnations for.

So it bids its time by only issuing protests, while waiting for either the Indians to ultimately back down, or cross a line not even the biased western media can spin to heap all the blame on China, at which point China will act swiftly and decisively, as it did in 62.

I call BULL, Israel needs to be on China's good side more than ever, Jewish people does not derives its strength from their own might, they always borrow other people's power to enhance theirs, that is why they dominate US politics and media, and that is why US's both party is being such a slave to Israel interest.

People in Israel are not stupid, they can see a rising China, and they want to be on China's good side, there is absolute no reason for them to piss off China.
