btw popeye, ever since you said you're black, i had always pictured you a bit more... well... black... and a bit thinner too since you used to be in the navy.

Nope, not Pinoy hehe. Was originally from KMT military family in Taiwan, but moved to the states in 1982.

I know a little bit about the Philippines, because I looked into investment in "pre-built' condos in Makati area of Manila. But my friends from Singapore eventually talked me out of it.

I'm sure you know that, your dollars will go much further in Philippine pesos. $_$ If the financial requirements are too high, I could also suggest Panama. They have a retirement residency program that only requires proof of $500/month in income from abroad.

In addition, technically I'm not Taiwanese. I was born in the US to Taiwanese parents (naturalized years later), and that's the only citizenship I hold right now. Also, a question for Asians not living in the US where "political correctness" isn't as rampant. (Maybe)

What do you call yourselves? Here, if you're an ABC then generally you call yourself "ABC" or "Asian-American". In Canada it was "CBC"... and if you were born in another country then that's what you called yourself.
