This aircraft is most likely at least partly an inspiration for the J-20, not saying the J-20 is a clone, nor anything of the sort, and the early wind tunnel model of the J-20 shows that she does have deep roots in China.

but this is very similar in overall planform, even though the aircraft LOOK nothing alike other than similar configuration.

The Honey Bunny (J-20) look nothing like that old Mig 1.44. The air inlets are different, along with, engines, exhaust, canards, air frame, avionics and stealth. My Honey Bunny shops at the finest boutiques while that thing so called Mig 1.44 shops at Walmart on a good day.:D;)

while I agree in principle, the J-20 is a very pretty, stealthy, finished airplane, I would add that dollars spent at Walmart on Chinese goods financed a nice share of the J-20 build? don't doubt me on that? but what do you really make of this airplane being rolled out 15 years after it was cancelled, and looking pretty snarky I might add?

I'm not the only guy on here with his lower jaw on the floor, I mean really, the Mig 1.44 after 15 years, looks like Vlad is clutching at straws???

Wow! The mig 1.44. She was suppose to be unveiled at maks 20 yrs ago but I'm glad she finally made an appeareance.

That's a unicorn sighting! The 1.44 was conceived even before the raptor. She is kinda past her prime now but that's still an amazing piece of military aviation history.

Personally I do believe that the j20 is loosely based off the 1.44 but that's just my own opinion.
