A simple statement if you please that space is reserved for the hellfire missile system also if VLS was installed there then one hit and you have taken all of LCS offensive capabilities and most of the AD the better location is aft in the areas now occupied by the 30mm guns plus its most likely supplies more room for VLS but its a moot point because we will probably never see VLS on LCS

Not surprising the Saudi's did this with the M1 tank only they recognize the navy's mistake but with only 8 VLS limits what it can carry but for the Saudis is fine for us still is severely under armed for us 16 VLS would seem the very bare minimum

recently I noticed they might not have money for the FFG(X) -- I predicted over one year ago they'd cancel -- due to the CR etc.,
but I don't bother with a link as I don't follow the USN much (except if there's something major like the SECNAV booted Yesterday at 10:23 PM);
the reason is I got offended by Satan in Annapolis

OK Today at 4:51 PM I meant
"A year-long CR would delay ... the start of the FFG(X) frigate program; ...
Geurts said the top three procurement programs that would be impacted by a CR would be ..., the FFG(X) and ..."
(and of course no body believes me they'd cancel)

well as far as I know, they don't talk budget anymore, just recently avoided a shutdown for one month or so: all they do is the impeachment (or how to prevent it)
