"Based on the news release, it’s unclear the types of weapons the CUSV could field. While some of the larger anti-surface missiles could be too large for the USV’s 14-foot-long, 6-foot-wide and 3.5-foot-high payload space, it could act as a forward targeting node for larger ships. It could also field smaller missiles the Navy intends to use for small boat anti-surface warfare like the AGM-114L Longbow Hellfire missile."

Fyi it does now appear that FFGX will have 32 VLS a very welcome change my guess (probably) wrong they wil be assigned to operate along side lcs to provide AAW cover seeing as Lcs really doesn't much AAW capability while lcs conducts its mission most likely by staying in their favorite place Port waiting maintenance or training crews while ot breaks down

Jura I am sorry I cant recall where I read that at maybe someone else in this thread can find it I do recall an analyst saying that at last years NavSea event he was just saying that should be the bare minimum requirement for the VLS numbers aboard each ship indeed we are seeing almost all of the entrants with 32 VLS except the Legend class of which No One has seen to my knowledge
