"Repairs and technical enhancements resulting from the lessons learned during construction of follow-on Freedom and Independence class hulls warranted extended timeframes for these PSAs, ensuring maximum material readiness in support of training, certification, and deployments. If this not business insider has new article finally stating the obvious that LCS was and is a waste and total m8stake and it now looks like the navy is finally admitting it to although DOD isn' quite ready to give in just yet doesn' sound like either variant will win the FFGX contract to me best that could be hoped for now is to convert them into mine sweepers or some type if humanitarian type vessel for disaster relief

what?! the USN admitting to a mistake?! NO WAY!
in fact the Pentagon will be churning out ADDITIONAL LCSs!!

(32 instead of 26, I could find links here if I cared, and I don't)

Didn't say DOD was tired of them said the navy was and they are ready to move on already knew the DOD aka. Pentagon wasn going to let one of its cash cows just to go away without a fight, in my opinion they should be prepping them right now for target practice which in reality what they are if they ever encountered the Chinese or Russian navy
