Good pictures, thanks. Especially the first ones are impressive, showing how big those CVNs really are, almost dwarfing a Burke, wich by itself is a pretty major vessel already.
The kitchen table thing sounds like a good idea, although I pressume that might lead to some fairly one-sided discussions within your household ? ;p
I also understand your point of not wanting to scrape the models, lots of work in those. Anyway, seems like you have an idea of how you want to spend the next several years of your life. Have fun ... :)

Yes.

IMHO, at 3,000 tons (or so) they are frigates, and I would classify frigates as major combatants...particularly when they finally get the armament and all of this "module" stuff worked out.
