In the wake of the India-China brawl fake news at Sikkim. As predicted, there would be rants at DFI. Like this one:
This post openly admits that India is a 'war-like state' LOL... He wants the Indian Army to show some balls and start shooting at Chinese troops. Yeah right, like that is gonna end well for those Jawans. Sikkim is not disputed territory. If China wants Sikkim, there would be a land war already. This 'Kargil-style' intrusion by China is all stupid BS. So shooting at a few PLA soldiers who strayed into Sikkim is moot. Worse still, it'll start a real armed skirmish with China for no good reason. Yeah... just what India really needs right now.
And what about this Nithin Gokhale, an Indian media figure? He is saying that Col Santosh Babu is going to be posthumously awarded "Mahavira Chakra". That this is an unofficial declaration that India is in a 'state of war'. What the hell? This pretty much sums up that the Indian media is indeed behaving like a wartime media.
India is suffering from bipolar disorder. To the West, India is a 'peace-loving nation'. The land of Namaste, Yoga, Gurus, and Vegans. So the West must help India, who is being provoked by an 'aggressive communist China'. This is then followed by grossly inflated self-importance. Why the West and the rest of the world loves India over China. Why everybody needs India. Why is India gonna be better than China. Bla-bla-bla. But in India, and for the Asian neighbourhood, India has a different image. India is the 'war-like state'. A nation of warriors and heroes with stories about war and glory. Like they are Sparta or Israel.
All this delusion is like heroin. India is Superpower 2020 until one day India gets slapped around by Pakistan, China, Covid-19, locusts, and angry farmers. In these rare cold turkey situations, India have 2 choices to take next. One ,stop taking more delusions, sober up, and get down to work. Or two, double down on more delusions. We all can guess what India would do next.
