Since PLA has only exchanged maps of its positions in the Central sector, the entities are using the non-demarcated border to their advantage. Given the experience with Pakistani intruders in Kargil in 1999, Indian intelligence officials said they are taking no chances.

Basically they are implying that the PLA is sneaking around into the Indian side of the border ala "Kargil style".

What the hell? If the PLA wanted to take more territory, it'll be by force. By movement of entire troop formations. Similar to like what happened in April 2020. Not like this sneaking one guy here and there. Sneaking around is more like what India does with their SFFs.

Yet another Indian media fantasy of some kinda "defending the fatherland" story. Probably they got bored because there is no good news to report from Ladakh now. Particularly from India's side.

China says it is Chinese territory, Indians like @Kakyan also say that this is Chinese territory. I don't see what the argument is about.

If it were a Kargil style incursion do they seriously think that China would send one person in the middle of the night? The soldier in question fell and slipped down a hill, was disoriented, and wandered in the wrong direction. Embarrassing? Yes. But definitely not nefarious.

The food in the military is good but on the frontlines, something like hotpot is still reserved for special occasions.
