The thing here is... by coming out with fake news, and not wanting to face the bitter facts of their own problems, the country will only go weaker. I have seen many serious analysts in China that not just once but in multiple occasions still recognised the shortcoming of PLA, one of them (forget who already) go as far as saying that even at its current rate of growth, and with US at a standstill, China still needed more than 20 years to catch up... and US is not at a standstill. One or two of them even have good things to say about India's equipment and some of their elite teams.
However, all I heard of the Taiwan and India was like they are the best in the world. Their technical expert even have the cheek to say that their missile after thousand of kilometers flight still had a error of only 1 meter and below (something even the US would not say). And from the multiple Indian commenters that I see in this forum who bashed in and turn this fine place to a dxxk comparing contests, I would say that they never admit or even believes that they are weaker and try to face the truth.
Without first recognizing the truth, there will be no improvement at all. Sure you can use all the money you wanted to buy all the super dupers equipment all over the world. But in the end, it will only make you a second grade power. India and China both attain true independence at around the same time. China is surrounded by enemies that are as strong or even stronger than they are in the past, and yet they became what they are now... surpassing India in all areas. India on the other hand, are surrounded by much weaker enemies, she is facing the ocean with almost no one to counter. They have all the helps from the west, I cannot see why they become what they are now... with huge portion of their country still in poverty and their industries are a joke.
India should really self reflect, see what is happening and grow or they will only be a country with 1.4 billion beggars.
Well said. The Chinese 'communist propaganda media' still have the good sense to point out weaknesses in the PLA. This allows true modernisation of the PLA. Noticed the Chinese media could be quite proud of the PLA. But they never claimed that China is stronger than the USA in totality.
What the fascistic Taiwanese and Indian media forgets is that China faced the 2 superpowers in the Cold War. The first foreign enemy that China fought right after 1949 is none other than the USA in Korea. China fought the USA with mostly poorly equipped infantry forces against the combined might of the US Army, USAF, and USN. Even with those odds, China managed to fight the US and their UN allies to a standstill. Later on, China had skirmishes with the Soviet Union. And China had to fight the proxies of both of these Superpowers in the Cold War. Namely Taiwan (more like ROC in the Cold war), ROK, and Vietnam. China did all this while going through famines, poverty, economic isolation, and the Cultural Revolution.
Taiwan had continuous peace after a few skirmishes with China right after the near-conclusion of the Chinese Civil War. India's wars have mostly been with weaker opponents like Pakistan. India may brag about fighting a small Portuguese garrison at Goa. Hardly a fair fight. Full of confidence, India then fights a proper great power, China. And India lost. So India likes to make claims like: "Oh if the IAF had joined the fight, India could have won" . Come on, the USAF couldn't defeat the Chinese infantry force in Korea. What good can the IAF do to win a war against China?
Taiwan and India continues to underestimate the determination of the Chinese leadership and soldiers to fight and win a war. They are overlooking the actual weaknesses of their soldiers. Taiwan's youths in general do not have the stomach for war. They are only brave and confident, until the shooting really starts. India OTOH have soldiers who are historically weak in morale and discipline. The recent Indian clashes with the PLA exposes just how weak their soldiers really are.
So we should welcome the fake news from Taiwan and India. Because it actually weakens their militaries in the long run. But just be cautious that the fake news gets them too overconfident to start a fight with China.
